New Toy!

They are getting big! A while back they upgraded from newborn diapers to level 1-2 diapers, a few weeks ago they left behind their newborn clothes, a week ago they out grew a pair of their sleep sacks (thank you Melinda, they were great), Ada outgrows things first of course. And today we moved on from the single shoulder sling to an Ergo, they were getting much to heavy to carry on one sholder all day. Cheers to them!

The Babysitter's Club

Uncle Doug came to babysit last night as the Daddies went to a Parents of Multiples consignment sale in search of a stroller and an ergo, no luck. But we did purchase some very cute hats and snow suits for next winter. Thanks again Ungle Doug.

Waiting for the spit up!

Sir-pukes-alot here is being propped up as we head out to swim class. He has been spitting up his meals very often lately. We were rushing out so we came up with this idea. Lucky for us, he did not spit up, but did let out a big burp.

Shorts For Another Hot Day!

We went to a museum today and the weather was almost as hot as yesterday. It is 9:11PM (21:11) right now and the temperature is 81F/27C. The kids enjoyed another day in just their diaper hanging out.

IT IS HOT!! 93F/34C

It's cooling down time for the twins as a heat wave hits San Francisco.

San Francisco Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival - Kampai!

Boy was it hot out there. The kids did great, they slept through it all, but the daddies were very happy to be out of the house. It was super sunny, yes the kids had suncreen, and the twins tried out their new hats (see previous posting) given to them by Annie and Shane.

Navi Sitting Up!

Well, he had some help from the pillow and he did not exactly sit up straight, but it's a start. And he first noise he makes is not a hiccup, it's a laugh.

Reading Time Before Bed.

Ada was very attentive and so was Navi, we hope it's a sign that they will like reading.

Navi and Abuelita.

Not Much of a Work Out!

Last tummy time, Navi just hung out and laughed, drooled, laughed, and sucked on his hand.

Point Reyes

Yesterday we went out to the far ends of Marin. We had a fantastic lunch in Marshall, on Tomales Bay, went out to Point Reyes, bought some oysters form an oyster farm for dinner and purchased some locally grown meats and poultry. The kids did fantastic, although we were in the car all day so we think they slept most of the time. We saw a calf born, I would say less than an hour old, from the side of the road and mama cow was licking it and pushing it to get up, it did eventually as we ended our day. We got out to the light house in Pt. Reyes and sat on a cliff overlooking the sea and local deer with the children and searched for whales migrating north in the ocean. No luck on the whales and the kids were not too pleased with the winds so we cut our whale sighting tour short. Oh and we had to change the kids in the trunk of the car.

Bonjour!

Third Swim Class

Swim class went really well today. The swim instructor said that Ada has learned that when we count to three it means she's going to be submerged and so she closes her eyes and holds her breath. Cool huh! Well... that's what the instructor said she observed, I will have to confirm that next week.

Daily Workout

The Other Daily Workout.

For the past month, the children have been sleeping with us in our bed. Following the advice of our pediatrician, last night they slept in their crib. As some of you may recall, the mattress was in the shop because it had warped and had become uneven. So a new one is being made and we are using the defective one with binders under it to even it out. And the kids are still able to sleep in the same crib.

So... both daddies were very well rested this morning. We have been getting up only once a night to feed them and last night we only got up twice to put pacifiers (chupones) in their mouths. And this time, we did not have to sleep with caution because the children were not next to us. Oh, a week ago the twins had a record sleep time of 6.5 hours! Things are going very well, except for the constant spit up at every feeding, it gets old really fast.
