SF Pride Festival 2017

The Lopezjoneses and friends, slowly woke up after the pink party and made their way downtown for the Pride Parade.
Navi found a good spot to check out the floats.
Ada and Bea squeezed their way into the best position to receive some of the free swag.
And swag they received. Linda their babysitter started them with a few pride mementos, but they left the parade with even more beads, necklaces, flags, candy, chapstick, temp. tattoos, face paint and much more.
Afterwards they all fled the downtown mayhem and found a quiet spot in the Castro for lunch. Then they headed home for adult nap time.

Happy Pride!

Graduation Party Class of 2017

Alexis has graduated from high school and on her way to Sacramento State. The Lopezjoneses headed to Madera to celebrate.
The weather was very warm, so a lot of the party was in the pool.
Inside Alexis and her friends played water pong (they're underage and can not drink).
Alexis came home with the Lopezjoneses to spend the week in San Francisco.
Cheers and congratulations Alexis.

Oaktown!

With Ada spending the rest of the week in Salinas, PapaJason at work, Navi and DaddyQuique had a free day. They decided to go downtown, but a different downtown. Oakland's downtown.
The warriors had won the championship and there was a parade to celebrate.
It was a very joyous and crowded event. And then the crowd erupted when Curry took his stop on the parade route.
 With Trophy and all.
Then it was back to San Francisco. At the playground Navi noticed some sky writing. Is was an advertisement for a certain company with a shoosh logo trying to capitalize on the parade in Oakland. Navi was very curious how the sky writing worked.
Afterwards Navi led a walk through the Embarcaderos. DaddyQuqiue showed him the secret walkways above the street level where its, green, quiet and serene.
In the Castro they went to another playground, but Navi felt he was too big for it, so home they went. But on the way DaddyQuique's favorite barber was at the window and free, so Navi got a well needed haircut. Not his regular haircut like when he was young, but it was made to look good. Navi says he wants to grow out his hair.
At home for lunch Navi had the idea of having a picnic in the garden. DaddyQuique made the food and Navi prepared the picnic.
That evening it was a boys night out. Navi, DaddyQuique and PapaJason all went out to dinner. At the same restaurant they met a neighbor having a boys night out with his son as well.

Daddy & Daughter Day

Ada had her turn with her dad at the Boardwalk. She was very excited.
She was happy she was on her own receiving all the attention as well as the rides.
Turn our Ada is an adrenaline junky. Here she is on the Gian Dipper, a wooden roller coaster. She loved it and rode it twice. Every time she was asked if she wanted to do a ride her reply would be, "Is it fast?"
She did take a quick break to play a game. This one was on her account. She did not reach the top of the ladder, to DaddyQuique's delight, the prize were those giant stuffed animals!
At one point DaddyQuique needed some time for his stomach to take a break from all the spinning rides. But not Ada, she was happy to ride on her own.
And on her own she rode on.
At dinner they had some yummy food. She had room and the energy for dessert.
The next morning they had room service, well they went down to the full lobby for the 'free' breakfast and brought it back to their hotel room to eat. Back to Salinas they went. That afternoon Navi and DaddyQuique drove back to San Francisco. Ada stayed in Salinas and the Lopezjoneses will meet up with her this weekend in Madera.

Daddy & Son Day

The twins and DaddyQuique headed to Salinas over the weekend for an overnight.  On Monday DaddyQuique and one kid headed to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk!
Navi (in the orange shirt on the right), spent the day at the boardwalk with his dad. He had fun with many of the rides.
The two had wonderful one on one time. And Navi had some well needed time away from his sister. They spent the whole afternoon on rides.
Navi liked most of the rides. Those that were loud, with people screaming or loud music, he did not enjoy so much.
Once they were done with the boardwalk they went out for a yummy dinner. Pasta for Navi, quail for DaddyQuique. When it came time for dessert Navi was too tired, so they went back to the hotel and called it a night. But really he watched TV a few minutes past his bedtime.
The next morning they headed back to Salinas and met up with Ada and Marky.

School Ceremony & Summer Vacay Begins

There was a light drizzle at La Scuola Thursday morning for the school's ceremony celebrating the students moving up a grade. Navi and Ada and now officially entering 3rd grade.
Afterwards the twins went to a friends house for food and socializing with their class room families. There was pizza and families were asked to bring some sides. The Lopezjoneses brought two bottles of prosecco and it was totally acceptable with this crowd. Another one of great reasons the daddies love the school.
Most of the kids spent their time playing video games.
The next day the twins were out of school and started their summer vacation. When asked what they wanted to do they both said, "movie theater!" They have been wanting to see a movie for months now so DaddyQuique finally took them. The twins enjoyed the movie, Captain Underpants, and their dad enjoyed a nap in the giant reclining chair with leg rest.
After the movie they played for a while at the playground and as a treat they rode on the Merry-Go-Round.
The next day the Lopezjoneses went out for a hike in San Bruno.  It was a beautiful day with a bit of wind.
The views were amazing!
