The twins had an overnight in Salinas so that they could spend some time with Abuelito. He was very happy to see them. Ada was eager to get to Salinas so she can collect Cleo's eggs (the pet chicken) and pick fruit. The only edibles in the garden this time around were apples, lemons, peppers and walnuts.
On the way home from Salinas the twins stopped at a park in Woodside to let out some energy. They had an entire playground to themselves. Click on the picture and try to spot Navi.

Sunday Family Outing
Benji and his family came up to spend the day in San Francisco. Tio Leo was interesting in checking out the Friends of the SF Library annual book sale for some special finds.
While some of the adults shopped for books, the little ones went to Aquatic park to spend some time on the beach and eat some chocolate at Ghiradelli Square.Afterwards it was off the the park for a picnic and to burn off some energy.
Abue made it up too, she stayed for an overnight. She loved holding Navi in her lap, all it took was him watching TV.

School Picnic
The twins attended their school picnic on Saturday and played with some of their classmates. There was also a big dog Ada was very interesting in petting.
It was a fun afternoon and the fun was to continue the next day.

Gotta Love San Francisco
A "Lighter than Air Parklet" was installed on Valencia St. today.
After school the twins stopped by to check it out. There was seating and free food given away (huge line for the food).
They had fun playing with balloon swords (I think it's the only balloon toy they knew how to make). But they could not stay too long, it was nap time.

Tuesday Ritual
Later that evening Nonna was over to babysit the twins while the daddies went to their school for parent teacher conferences. With Uncle George and Nonna over for dinner there was a special treat for the meal, bone marrow and Ada loved it, she of course had to sit in Nonna's lap for dinner.

Uncle George
The twin's special guest came from Colorado for a convention in town. Ada and Navi have been enjoying his stay. He's been a great playmate.

Special Guest
There's a special guest staying at the Lopezjones' residence this week. Ada and daddy Quique got some flowers from the garden and put together a bouquet for the spare bedroom to welcome our guest.

Not Your Mother's Donut Shop
The twins did a good job at swim class today so they were offered their option of treats; donuts or cupcakes. And they chose donuts. So off to the Dynamo Donuts in the Mission. Ada chose a chocolate rose donut.
And Navi chose a cornmeal blueberry donut. The donut shop had a beautiful garden in the back to sit and enjoy the sun. A friendly cat showed up and walked circles around the twins.

Saturday Outing
The twins went riding in Golden Gate Park today. Ada was on her balance bike and left Navi and his tricycle in the dust. Navi stayed behind and waited for Ada and papa Jason to show up. "I'm tired," he would say, even though he did not really do much riding.
Afterwards it was 'sushi boat' for lunch. These two did not hesitate or turn anything away that was put on their plate. They each had their own place of baby octopus in this visit and Ada really enjoyed the unagi (bb-q eel).

For dinner the twins harvested some pole beans from the garden. So far this season the garden has produced, cucumbers, lettuces, celery, radishes, kale, carrots, strawberries, and many flowers. There's still eggplant, beets, tomatillos and artichokes waiting to grow.

Dressing Up
The twins got a new dress up trunk (basket), thanks to Goodwill and $20. Ada was very excited and already has her favorite piece of clothing. Navi was not at all interested in dressing up, more for Ada.

Follow The Rainbow
A beautiful rainbow appeared over San Francisco, a full arch, as the kids were getting ready for bed. So of course they took two minutes to step outside and marvel at the colors. The city was glowing orange, it was quite a site.

New Park
The twins took the train to the newly renovated Balboa park. They had so much fun trying out all the new equipment and really had a blast running around.
Their new game is racing. "Ready... set... GO!" They like to line up and run as fast as they can. Ada has really good form and can outrun Navi. Navi, it's quite funny to see him run hopefully there will be video of him running soon.

Annual Labor Day Camping
The twins had to opportunity to one last camping weekend. Silly daddy Quique, his camera's battery was not charged so he was only able to take a couple pictures. Ada and Navi had so much fun running around, digging in the dry creek, eating (their way of asking is pointing at something and saying, "What's that?"), swimming, hiking, peeing in trees (yes Ada can pee in a tree), helping put wood in the campfire, playing with their friends Noah and Andrew, taking ATV rides with Nonna and Elio, and much much more.
The main focus of this weekend was to abolish whining. All the kids there were very capable of going about on their own and on their way to become super trooper independent campers. But once in a while little bickering broke out and all the adults ask is that they first try to come up with a solution on their own, thus not disturbing daddies, mommies, uncles and aunts.
UPDATE: Here are some pictures from our friend Noah's mom, Olivia
Uncle Doug was the go to guy the twins would turn to when having to visit the out house.
Flying a kite.
Picture time.
Follow the leader.
No whining rule enforced.
