Golden Gate Park

Daddy Quique took the twins to Golden Gate Park on a beautiful sunny morning.

Ada enjoyed the independence and climbing the play structures on her own.

During snack time, some birds came to beg for scraps. But Ada wanted nothing to do with them. You can hear her telling the birds, "No!" In the end it was a great day to run around. On the way out, Navi enjoyed playing with the dirt displaced by the gophers.

Madera Overnight

The Lopezjones' headed to Madera over the weekend to spend time with their primo Beji. They had tons of fun playing in Benji's room and Benji kept the twins quite occupied during our whole stay. The trip ended with some outdoor time at a local park. When it came time to go, Benji was not very happy to pose for a goodbye picture.

Beating The Heat

On the final day of our summer heat wave daddy Quique started the day early before it got too hot. At the playgrounds, Navi always manages to find a stick somewhere. He has such fun carrying it and poking things with it.
Even though Navi was the one blessed with strength, Ada is always up for a stimulating challenge. She thinks about her next move when she moves up the climbing wall. Navi is not so good at it as he uses only his muscles and does not really plan out his moves.

Finally Summer!

With temperatures reaching in the high 90's it was great for the twins, and the daddies, to start out the day with swim class. But for the rest of the time at home, much of it was spent in the downstairs part of the house because the top of the house was HOT! Daddy Jason took the twins out for a walk in the afternoon to cool off.

It's A Hot One!!

Daddy Quique started the day early with the twins before it got too hot. The weather called for temperatures in the mid 80's, but around our house it's always a few degrees warmer. Before the twins could finish playing, Navi discovered the tiffin box and new there was food in there. So the twins had their 'generous' snack very early in the morning. After that the playing resumed.Ada, being a very determined and 'have it my way' type of young lady, wanted to use the big kid swings. After a short fit she threw daddy Quique found a way she could enjoy it. And of course for Navi, monkey see monkey do.

Family Zoo Day

The Lopezjones' went to the zoo today, the weather turned out to be nice.

The twins had fun, for the second time, walking about the zoo with no stroller.

The twins got to ride the merry-go-round. If you listen closely at the end of the clip you can hear Ada say, "Ciao-Bye."

Leaving the zoo, Ada needed a moment to herself for composure. She was not very happy about leaving the merry-go-round.

A Visit From Abuelita & Pe'te

The twins had some visitors for an overnight. After having spinach omelets the twins, abuelita, Pe'te and daddy Quique went to the playground in Eureka Valley. It was a bit dewey outside so we all decided it was better to play inside. There was a musician playing and Ada found him mesmerizing. She sat there looking at him play until he stopped.
Navi felt right in his own playroom. Right away he ran around and found his favorite toys.

Back At The Academy of Sciences

With SFUSD back in session, daddy Quique took the twins to the Academy, thinking it would not be so crowded. It was, but that did not deter the twins from having fun and run free.Navi was fascinated by the African Hall exhibit. He stood in front of one window for about five minutes examining the entire exhibit.Sadly the Kid's Cove had a really long line to enter so we skipped the playroom and went outside to see the turkey vulture. Ada had lots of fun waiving at the bird.

Sunday Family Outing

The twins went out for dim sum! They both enjoyed using chop sticks and drinking tea. Chopsticks not pictured above, but once they saw the daddies use chopsticks they refused to use their forks or hands, only chopsticks. After our Chinese brunch the daddies took the twins to a park in the Presidio. It had a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge. There were new toys that the daddies or the twins have not seen before. Navi flexed his muscle just hanging out. He held on for quite some time, daddy Jason and other parents were amazed.
Super fun day over all at a new playground.

Lazy Foggy Saturday Morning

Today the twins are just going to hang out. It will be up to them to keep themselves busy in their room.

Side note: Navi climbed out of his crib during yesterday's nap.

Finally The Zoo

The twins finally made it to the zoo. It has been a while for them due to the really cold foggy summer San Francisco has been having and daddy Quique's fear of summer crowds. Daddy Quique had so much fun with the twins this time around. They walked for most of the exhibits and were very curious about the many animals they would spot. Ada was the best at walking from exhibit to exhibit and kept a good pace. Navi enjoyed running ahead and was easily distracted by lights, rocks, or sand.
In the South American exhibit, after seeing their newly acquired capi barras, Ada went right up to the black swan and 'quacked.'

Gum Tree Ranch

The Lopezjones' headed to Vacaville to visit the Gum Tree Ranch. Navi and Ada were excited to see dogs running around. Navi especially liked that one of the dogs would catch a golf ball in mid air every time he threw one. Navi found the grapes on the ranch and went searching for a snack. Ada followed and found herself some purple grapes, that were not quite ready.Navi even helped out doing some work. He filled up some containers with water to quench the dogs' and chickens' thirsts.Ada like the horses and even got to sit on top of one.
Once the temperatures reached in the high 80's the twins got to cool up in a pool. Which had to be emptied and cleaned after a 'floaty' accident, from both kids, but it was re-filled and the fun continued.

My How They Grow

It is amazing how different these two's personalities are. They may not be talking yet, but their expressions and mannerisms say a lot.
Both daddies are having such fun and learning with them every step of the way. Even though sometimes their behavior may confuse anyone.

Long Day

The twins had an early start to their day playing at Alta Vista Park. There was a bit of morning fog dew, but that did not stop these two. The San Francisco Parks and Recreations department was hosting a free carnival day a the Marina Green. There were carnival games (too big for the twins of course), and an arts and crafts section where Navi and Ada got to decorate a fish. One game we found appropriate for them was the bounce house, 5 years and under, they had so much fun.
For lunch the twins had hot dogs over looking the Marina.

This morning daddy Quique and the twins drove all over the city trying to find a dry playground. Most places were covered with dew do to the fog. Third playground was the charm.

It's Picking Time

At abuelita's garden most of the fruit trees were ready for picking.
And plums were at the top of the twins' list of favourites.
Navi especially liked the smaller yellow plums.
Ada enjoyed a good pear, this was after she picked up a rotten one from the ground.
Navi kept going back for more plums. Somehow he managed to pick the ripest ones.
There was also a special little friend running around in the garden. Ada loved giving him kisses.
