Walnut Creek Outing

 Ada and Navi headed to the East Bay to meet up with the Mendez-Alm family.

They checked out a newly renovated park.  They all had tons of fun, it was great playground.

Afterwards everyone went out for burgers and shakes. It was a fun afternoon.

The Zoo

 It was a chilly 41 degrees at the SF zoo.  DaddyQuique convinced Navi to wear pants and he was glad he did.

 While the twins stopped to have snack, a pretzel, a friendly bird stopped by.

 He was not shy at all.  The twins followed zoo rules and did not feed the fowl.

For Christmas Ada and Navi received money from Abuelito so they stopped at the zoo gift shop and bought something special.  Gracias Abuelito.

New Bikes

The Lopezjoneses headed to the park on Sunday so the twins can try out their new bikes.

Their new bikes have gears and handle breaks. They had to learn how to break using their hands, the gears they will learn later.

They both did very well.

It was a cold morning, but they pushed on to the end.

Two Christmases

On Christmas Eve in Salinas the Lopezjoneses headed out to walk to TiaDalilas house.

 Everyone gathered at her house for posole, tamales, and fried chicken.

 Ada-McGrumpy-Pants made an appearance.

 The next morning Marky and the twins found some strange footprints in front of the chimney.

 That morning they tried out one of their gifts, Connect Four.

 Navi's excitement for Pokemon got out and he received a Pikachu hoodie.

After a long Christmas morning of eating more food, the Lopezjoneses thanked all the family and headed back to San Francisco.

Babbo Natale also made a stop in San Francisco and surprised Navi and Ada with new bicycles.

 That afternoon Nonna, Grandpa and ZiaNonna joined the Lopezjoneses for Christmas dinner. Navi and Ada both got everything they had asked for from Babbo Natale.

And a few extras to keep them busy.

Merry Christmas

Salinas

 The twins are in Salinas for the holidays.

 Lucky for Ada there is still some fruit in the trees that she can enjoy.

 But it's Marky who is the lucky one because he gets to spend three days with his cousins.  (The dog's name is Larry, he's Marky's dog from Madera)

And they are having so much fun together.

A Little Culture

 Sunday afternoon the Lopezjoneses headed out once again.  This time it was a lunch before the symphony.

 They met Nonna and ZiaNonna and...

 AuntyKendra and GrandmaAnnie for the San Francisco Symphony's A Charlie Brown Christmas.

 The hall was packed with families and their children. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the music and performances.

Getting home, the rain was coming down.  But it was only a few block Ada and Navi had to walk. Some were a little slow than others so there was some waiting time.  Once they got to the MUNI station the J-Church line pulled up and the ride home was made super easy.

Happy Birthday

 Friday evening the Lopezjoneses met Gian Marco downtown for dinner to celebrate a birthday.

 Lights were on all over downtown and the twins were excited to be out at night.

 At The Embarcadero they got to see a neat looking light instillation as they walked to dinner. It was lightly drizzling but no one minded.

 They were there to celebrate PapaJason's birthday.  He made his meal even more special by ordering a grand appetizer, a shellfish platter.

 And of course for dessert... cheese!

Winter Concert

 On Wednesday morning Nonna and Abue walked the twins to school.  It was grandparents day at La Scuola. For a couple hours they were to shadow the twins at school.

 Abue stayed for an overnight because there was a special event that evening.

 

 Which for some required some getting ready for.

It was the La Scuola Winter Concert. Ada was very excited to dress up, wear a necklace and have her hair made.

Navi was not very excited about the dressing up part, but DaddyQuique fixed him up with a very comfortable cotton polo shirt and shorts with knee high socks.

Ada and Navi played instruments and sang.

Navi and his best friend Sachin had a solo together.  Navi shined when it was his turn to sing, perhaps a little too much, but it was a good laugh for everyone.

Congratulations

Over six years ago Navi started swim class at Le Petite Baleen and now he has officially finished the course.  He is done with swim school.

Rain Hike

 Sunday morning the twins wanted to ride their bikes in Golden Gate park. Unfortunately the rain was coming down really hard.  So PapaJason decided that they would hike in the rain in The Presidio.

It was not raining, but the ground was saturated.

When the twins walked upon this sand there was no water, but as soon as they started to walk and pound on the sand the water came streaming out.

 It was a little chilly, but overall a nice hike.

 It was still a nice hike even though Ada-McGrumpy-Pants made an appearance.

 Towards the end of the hike, everyone was in good spirits and the sun was shining.  A rainbow appeared over the bay.

Urban Hike

Saturday morning DaddyQuique took the family downtown to walk and see the Christmas decorations.

Sadly a lot of the spots DaddyQuique had in mind to check out did not decorate much this year.

But a few he did find a few familiar decorations in one building.

Everyone walked about through the Embarcaderos, the Financial District and into Chinatown.  Ada and Navi did enjoy being able to run around in certain spots.

Walking and running around worked up an appetite, so the Lopezjoneses stopped for lunch, ramen.

Afterwards the final stop was the giant walk through ginger bread house at the Fairmont Hotel.
