Buon Carnevale!

La Scuola celebratesd Carnavale, as they do every year, with their own twist on it. Students dressed up as characters from their favorite books. Navi was a Dementor from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

 Ada  and Adelle, as well as many other girls, dressed up as Hermione Granger from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

 There were a lot of Harry Potter fans.

After the parade of costumes the students played freeze dance. Navi just kind of ran around and Ada stood next to DaddyQuique refusing to dance.

To finish the festivities the entire school lined up, led by their PE teacher, and danced "La Macarena," the twins did not wish to participate so they just stood there.

Outings

 Because of some business the Dads had in the South Bay the twins had to tag along. DaddyQuique found a great park in San Matteo

 It had a very quaint Japanese Tea Garden with lots of big koi.

 Ada and Nave loved the secret paths and the use of nature in the design of the garden.

 They found some really neat play equipment, made of metal-fun!

On another day they visited a playground they have not been to in a while. To end their ski week, Nonna picked up the twins and took them to Marin to hang out with their cousins, Elio and Ave, for a couple days while they are in the area.

Ski Week

 The twins are out of school for the week and the rain storms have been making their way to SF. Ada and Navi went to Japantown one day to buy umbrellas.

 And played outside in the rain. Later they met PapaJason in Marin for lunch and a movie.

 On another day they went to the Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park.

 DaddyQuique swears this fish got bigger, it's been a while since they have been back there.

 When the rain was taking a break they spent time outside playing in playgrounds, or trees.

One afternoon the rain caught them by surprise at Dolores Park, it's a good thing they only live half a block away.

Rain Hike

 The twins started their "Ski Week" off with a family hike in the Presidio. Navi was fascinated by all the sour grass growing, his new favorite plant - to eat!

 There was not much rain in the beginning, but the hike was fun for everyone.

Towards the end there was a little bit of rain. Afterwards everyone went to Sushi Boat for lunch.

Gung Hay Fat Choy!

 The weekend was beautiful in the bay area. The Lopezjoneses and the Sheahans headed to Half Moon Bay to hang out at the beach.

 It was really a nice day and everyone had a great time.

 After the beach Bea and Holton joined Ada and Navi downtown to see the Chinese New Year Parade.

There was a lot to see and all very colorful.

 They even stayed into the evening.

After, Ada and Navi went to Bea's house for an overnight.

Homework

Sometimes it can be a slight challenge to get the twins to do their homework. So, sometimes we set the mood for a cozy environment to do homework in.

Salinas Birthday

 Ada and Navi headed to Salinas over the weekend. Marky was very excited to see them as well as Abue who has been in Mexico for the past three weeks. DaddyQuique picked her up form the airport Friday evening.

 As always there was a BBQ in the garden. But this one was a bit more special.

 Because again the twins celebrated  their 8th birthday.

 The next day they all went to Chuck-E-Cheeses for some fun.

 Ada and Navi were too small to remember the last time they were there, but they really enjoyed had tons of fun.

Ada and Navi area always happy to celebrate with loved ones.

And the fun did not stop there, even after leaving there was still one more treat.

Happy Birthday Twins!

 On Thursday morning the twins awoke to find a festive dining room and pan dulce for breakfast. It was their 8th birthday and they were excited.

 Being that their birthday was on a weekday they chose to celebrate at home with family and friends with chicken wings!

 And cake of course. This is the cake Ada helped with the day before.

 Grandpa, Nonna, ZiaNonna, ZioRoger, Linda and Gian Marco all celebrated with Ada and Navi.

And there were plenty of presents aftwerwards.

Helping Hand

In preparation for a special day tomorrow DaddyQuique has been busy running errands around town and baking a cake. Ada was home and she decided to help especially since the cake is linked to her and her brother.
