Party Guest

Uncle Brad flew in from L.A. to hang out with the twins.
Ad did Aunty Heather, she flew in from Albuquerque.
And at the last minute Andrew and his dad came up from Monterey to have fun with the twins.

Out For A Walk

Another beautiful, but nippy, day in San Francisco and the twins explored Buena Vista park.  It was a fantastic spot for a hike with plenty of trails and stairs.
At the top they were rewarded with a view of the Golden Gate bridge, Navi was very excited.
After a while of hiking the twins found a playground to burn of more energy.  The hike back to the car was just as exciting with many new trails with many twists and turns.

Happy Christmas (Round Two)

There were plenty of gifts waiting for the twins in San Francisco.  Linda stopped by to deliver her gifts and play with Ada and Navi for a little bit.
Later ZiaNonna, ZioRoger, Nonna and Grandpa arrived for Christmas dinner bearing more gifts.
"Mas regalos," Ada would say.  She was the first one to start opening gifts.
 Navi followed of course.
There were some great gifts that were not wrapped, but plenty of fun to try out.
Uncle Doug made it over for the feast.
Bearing even more gifts of course.  He added to Navi's collection of monos.
And let's not forget the good food.  And for a special occasion the twins had juice with their meal.

Happy Christmas

Christmas dinner was held at Pete's house.
There were plenty of cousins to keep the twins busy and tire out Abuelito.
Plenty of good to go around.
 Games were played.
 Paloma's were hugged.
And at 10:00pm, the latest the twins have ever stayed up, Navi could not hold out any longer so they opened their gifts.
Ada loved her dress up skirt.
The next morning it was back to Pete's house for breakfast.
Yummy left over tamales from the night before.  But this time fried with an egg on top, yummy!
And there was a little more playtime before it was time to say goodbye.

A Little Fun Before The Big Night

The Lopezjones' went to Salinas for Christmas (Eve) and it was a beautiful morning to hang out.
The twins ran around for a few hours enjoying the outdoors.
Tia-Nana and Tio-Mark got to spend some needed time with Ada and Navi.
And o course Abuelito is always very happy to spend time with his grand kids.

Downtown SF

The twins took the train downtown today for a bit of sight seeing and play.  At the Contemporary Jewish Museum the twins insisted that the building had fallen down and broke.

The chlorine smell at the MLK Jr. fountain was strong, but the twins did not mind, Navi sure didn't.
This was the best daddy Quique could do for a picture, Ada strongly dislikes posing for the camera.
Just outside the Kid's Zeum there's a playground with some pretty big, and fast, slides.
The twins went down the slide once or twice, but they went a little too fast for their comfort.
Ending the day the twins got to ride the carousel. With the purchase of one ticket they got to ride twice.  At the second ride Ada insisted on the, "caballo princesa," the princess horse - it had pink and seemed to be wearing a skirt.

Genious

Thank you Ikea for making life easier to use your washrooms.  Especially with two kids in one stall.

Wind Tunnel and Snow

]
Nonna joined the twins in their adventures one day.  First off, snow at the Academy of Sciences.
(CAUTION: The video below may be a little loud!)
And then it was off to the playground.  After, lunch in the Castro, but first a stop at a wind vent.  The twins used to be afraid of this when they were younger, but not anymore.

A New Friend

For an evening stroll the twins, Benji and Alexis walked over a few blocks to visit Babo Natale.
There was lots to see up close...
...and from a distance, neighbors Tom and Jerry decorate their house every year and go all out.
Babo Natale even makes an appearance.  Navi did not mind sitting next to him. Ada would not sit next to Babo Natale, but she was grateful for the little gifts he was handing out.
Ada changed her mind on how she felt about Babo Natale, all it took was a candy cane and a 'princesa' ring.

Pizza Party

After the gingerbread houses everyone headed out for pizza.
Navi and Benji were best buds yet again and Ada was getting plenty of attention from her Nonna.
It was a fun day, but it was not over.

Habitat For Candy

Over the weekend Grandma-Annie hosted a gingerbread making workshop.
Ada and Navi were not clear on what was happening until daddy Quique told them, "Project."
Benji was even there to join in the fun, Kendra was very helpful and provided a lot of pointers.
It was a fun activity for all, especially since there was some snacking on the decorations.
Here's Ada's final gingerbread house.
And Navi's gingerbread house.  Thank you grandma-Annie and the rest of the Black family for hosting.

Golden Gate Views

After purchasing new shoes for the twins it was off to walk the Golden Gate bridge. Ada did not want her picture taken.
It was a little colder and windier than on land so it was a short trip near the first tower.
Again Ada did not want her picture taken, but Navi did not mind so much.
