Lemurs and Chimps and Trains, Oh My!

After watching a nature show on Madagascar Ada was all about Lemurs. So when daddy Quique asked the twins where they wanted to go on their 'Discovery Thursdays' Ada said, "Zoologico-Lemurs," and Navi said, "Zoologico-Tren," their other usual option is the Academy of Sciences. So to the zoo we went. After the lemurs the twins got to explore the more interactive parts of the zoo.Ada and Navi had fun playing on this web in the children's zoo.
And Ada got a timeout for throwing sand. Afterwards they rode the train and continued to peruse the zoo exhibits.

Oh Sunny Days

The sun was back again in full force. So before swim class the twins got to relax at the beach.
After swimming Ada & Navi were treated to pizza in The Castro. Combination pizza; onions, bell peppers, pepperoni & sausage. Ada loved the pizza as did Navi except for the bell peppers.

Rain Rain Go Away

On Sunday, the Lopezjones went to the LSPI's (La Piccola Scuola Italiana) Family Picnic. Even though it was wet and a little drizzle of rain every once in a while the picnic went on.
A lot of families of the school showed up and braved the weather, which was not cold or bad just a little wet.
The weather conditions were great for Ada's hair. Check out those tight curls, it's like she just stepped out of the salon.

Books Books Books

On Saturday the Lopezjones' headed to Fort Mason for the Friends of the SF Public Library annual book sale. Ada and Navi both found books that peaked their interest. Ada had the most interesting book, Scary Fairies, very nice illustrations with very scary fairies.Around Fort Mason there were art instillations that served as benches, but of course for these guys it was a play structure.
Ada may or may not have gotten stuck entering the instillation this way.
Afterwards the family went to the playground. Ada was visited by some feathery friends trying to get a little bit of her lunch.

Chinese Doughnuts?

After some light shopping the twins and daddy Quique found themselves in Dalie City en route to the zoo, but first the twins needed a snack. When in Rome... Dalie City in this case, to the Chinese Bakery. "Where doughnuts?" Ada would ask, they were promised doughnuts for snack, but this was much better. Free to choose a treat to their liking, Ada chose a pineapple custard bun and almost finished it.
Navi chose a cream bun. It was dusted with shredded coconut, so he probably thought it was the closest thing to a sugar doughnut. He loved it.
Here is the size of his cream bun - he ate it all by himself. An older woman sitting next to the twins could not believe her eyes, "They have good appetites," said daddy Quique.

Berkeley Outing

Ada and Navi joined their friends Amelia and her brother Nicholas at Tilden Park.
Nicholas had fun taking pictures of Ada and Navi walking in the pond.
Navi loved feeding the cows and goats celery. Ada was scared at first, but then came around. They even brought a picnic to the park to enjoy the sunny weather.

Out For A Walk

Mornings these days have been overshadowed with fog, but by the afternoon it's sunny and warming up.
The twins went out for a walk on their free day, when they are not at school or swim class. Ada has discovered a cute little skirt that's been hidden away, "Pricesa Ada," she says.

Last Camp Out Of The Year

Over the weekend the twins were at Huntley Mill again for the Lopez camping weekend. It was a smaller group than usual, but Benji, Ximena, and Giselle were all the twins needed. When going to bed the twins like to fall asleep inside daddy and papa's sleeping bags and by 'magic' wake in their own sleeping bags in the morning.
The campers got to see a new lake...
and some new wildlife...Navi and papa Jason were the only braves ones to get in the water.
There was also tons of great food and plenty of fruit of the twins' choosing.

Free Time

Waiting for dinner to be ready the twins needed to keep busy. Navi chooses to occupy himself with his toy bulldozers.
Ada on the other hand preferred to color.

Labor Day Camping

For this camping trip daddy Quique forgot his camera, but managed to take two pictures. Jenny made it up for the first time and clicked with Ada in a matter of seconds. Ada even let Jenny put her hair in a ponytail, her first.
Navi had a lot of fun playing with his sister and also some friends that made it out, Noah, Jessie, Andrew and Evan. He especially loved that Uncle Doug came out this year because he got to play in his convertible car.
The fun continued even after the twins got home. The twins had a special dinner, Cheddarwurst.
Being the last ones out of camp there was plenty of food left over to take home. There's always Cheddarwurst left over, it's the un-0fficial Huntley Mill delicacy.

Under The Weather

Ada and Navi had a little bug in their tummy. The first morning when it started Navi felt the worst. He took a nap in the middle of the morning!
The next morning Ada woke up not feeling well and 'expressed' herself on the daddies' comforter. She stayed close to a toilet for some time until she felt better to wonder around the house.
