Happy Thanksgiving

The holiday season's have kicked off and it's full gears from now on.  The new generation parents took on spatulas and prepared this year's feast.
For some, Thanksgiving was something totally new.
For others, they knew what was happening - food!
There was plenty of friends and family as well as many of the four-legged kind.
The day after Thanksgiving the twins introduced Kaana to a Lopezjones tradition...
... cutting down a Christmas tree.
The twins and Elio were not too interested in the tree.  They wanted to play in the snow, but there was not much of it around.  Ice on the road will do for these three.
Everyone had a great time.  Happy Thanksgiving.

Tea Party

Navi and Ada attended their good friend Druvy's birthday party over the weekend.  Navi was the only boy invited and once he stepped into the tea parlor he realized what that meant he started to cry. He begged for PapaJason to stay with him, but it was more of a kids' affair.
Ada was game.  She was very excited to see all her classmates and start the tea party.
Navi and his daddies left the party and walked about the SF Botanical Gardens. Navi would consult the garden map and lead the way.
Then it was lunch time.  Navi had his favorite chirasi don (a bowl or rice with raw fish) and with a TV in front of him showing football he didn't think about the tea party once.  After picking up Ada from the party the daddies had so many questions for her which her answer to all of them were, "Umm... I don't know."

Mexico: Family

Mexico was made very special with all the family there to share the experience.
Navi had a boys day out with 'Uncle' Jan, after Ada's girl day of course.
Nonna had so much fun having all her grandchildren and great-nephew together.
Family meals, while loud, were so much fun. Jaxton and Ave missed out on the communal gathering, they were tucked in and asleep in bed by this time, their good hearing was spared.  And the food was fantastic, everyone loved it.
ZiaAlisa had fun showing some of the kids a water activity she and her family enjoy.
AuntyJan made it her mission to get a smile out of Navi for a picture.  It was a close one.
Ada and Navi proved to be great , really, short-term babysitters. This lasted maybe 4 minutes.
ZiaTosha was kept occupied by Jaxton, but he turned out to be good at his naps so she got to enjoy some free time every once in a while.
Ada has been to Mexico a few times now.  This was Kaana's first time and she really liked it, she was a perfect fit in this family vacation and Mexico was perfect fit for her.
Everyone had a fantastic time and the twins can't wait to go back.

Mexico: The Beach

Navi had so much fun making sand castles and body surfing the waves on the beach.
Ada was little less into the body surfing, but liked collecting shells instead.
They both really enjoyed the warm water and swimming, it was a great little beach for them.
There was also plenty of running around the beach with their cugino.
Navi really liked the snorkeling and was out there every chance he got.
It took a little convincing to get Ada out there, but eventually she came around.
They had plenty to look at under the water.
These two really love to be in the water.

Mexico: The Pool

When the twins got to Mexico their first and immediate thought was putting on a bathing suit and going in the pool.  Luckily Kaana was ready to jump right in the pool and keep in eye on them while the adults readied themselves to do the same.
There were a few pool toys, but best of all was the hot weather and the refreshing temperature of the pool.
Ada had a new bathing suit to show off.
Once Navi got a hold of his snorkel gear he was in heaven.
Once their cugino Elio arrived he brought even more pool toys to share.
It was the perfect pool for the week.

Fun With Mud

The harvest is over and the garden is sparse. PapaJason let the kids go wild.
They had so much fun playing in the mud, the only part they did not enjoy was being hosed down before going inside for a bath.

Trick Or Treat

Halloween arrived and there was a pirate, hummingbird and red tailed hawk that could not wait to start trick-or-treating.
Linda and Nonna joined the kids trick-or-treating in the neighborhood.
 They spotted Waldo.
The houses on the block that gave out candy were very excited to see the trick-or-treaters, the neighborhood does not get many kids stopping by.
At the Lopezjones' residence, these were the only trick-or-treaters for the evening and the twin's last stop.
For the few houses the stopped at they sure received a lot of treats.
At school earlier that day the twins celebrated Halloween with their classmates.
Navi was excited to school off his costume.
 Ada too.
 They cleaned out pumkins...
and decorated pumpkins. They also got to see the older kids sing Fall Harvest songs in Italian.

Happy Halloween!!
