Out Of Towners

 Aunty Heather & Uncle Bard are in town to hang out with the twins. More oysters for dinner.

 With no rain in sight everyone went to a park to burn off some energy.

 Then it was off to brunch with a side of bowling.

The twins had fun bowling.  Ada was done a little sooner than the game ended.

Road Trip

 Benji and his family hung out with the twins for a few days.  When the rain stopped they took a drive up the coast to West Marin. First stop was Muir Woods.

 Then it was a stop for lunch at Drake's bay for oysters. With five dozen in hand everyone sat down on the beach and began shucking.

 Ada and Navi have been to this little beach before and they were excited to play in the water with Benji.

Before heading home there was a stop at Rancho Nicasio to eat a bit more for those that did not fill up on oysters.

Christmas Day

 The twins made it back to San Francisco on Christmas day to find some extra gifts left by Babo Natale.

 They were lucky one again this year to celebrate two Christmas'. Ada helped Nonna make gniochis for Christmas dinner.

 She is loving helping out in the kitchen.

Christmas Eve

 The Christmas festivities began at Abue's house.  Ada helped make tamales and made several impressive looking ones.

 That evening it was off to Pete's house.

 All the cousins showed up that night, even the one's from Arkansas.

After tamales and pozole it was time for Bingo.

 The next morning at Abue's crowded house it was time for gifts.

 Ada was excited to open all her gifts.

It took Navi a few minutes to get into the gift opening mood - he wanted to watch TV instead.

First ER Visit

 The Lopezjones' did not quite make it to year four without having to visit the ER.  Ada and Navi, early in the morning, topped off a bottle of children's Tylenol.

 No one was in real danger, but some blood work needed to be done 4 hours after the ingestion of medication.

 Luckily the doctors allowed the twins to go home and come back in three hours for the blood work.

All was good and if you ask them if they will ever take medication on their own they will say, "No."

Let The Holiday Fun Begin

 The twins' winter break began in Oakland with their friend Noah and a train ride.

 Noah was very excited to show the twins around, he's been there a few times.

 Navi was very excited by the full black out tunnels.

It was a fun time for all.

Ci Vediamo Il Proximo Ano

The twins are out for winter break. DaddyQuique explained to them that they will not be attending school for a little while, but who knows if they understood. We'll see next week if they start asking about school

Rain/No Rain

 The pool was closed today for winter break so the twins had their Thursday free.

 They went to a park in the Mission they've never been to before and had the playground all to themselves for most of they play. Word on the news was that the rains would come in the afternoon so DaddyQuique wanted the twins to take advantage of the dry weather.

Afterwards they each got a haircut and ice cream.  Navi chose ube, purple yam, flavored ice cream and Ada chose pumpkin. No rain in sight.

A Birthday Celebration

PapaJason had so much fun celebrating his birthday at home with his family yesterday.  Ada and Navi were very excited to the present the gifts, that they themselves wrapped, to their Papa. Happy Birthday Papa.

Last Soccer Class

 The teams were chosen...

And the game began.

DaddyQuique did not get it on video, but Ada and a fellow teammate scored the winning goal together.

Fa La La La Laa, La Laa Laa La

Ada and Navi went on their first Caroling last night around the neighborhood.  They enjoyed the pre-caroling party and when it came time to sing at one's door step they preferred running down the street with the other children who felt the same way.

Downtown Fun

 Navi and Ada finally made it downtown. They had fun taking the J-Chruch train with both their daddies and walking around among the tall buildings...

 and all the holiday decorations all around.

 There was also a little bit of window shopping.

 And exploring new places they've never seen.

 Then there was a 4 story indoor water fall Navi did not believe existed until he saw it with his own eyes. "No adentro, afuera," not inside, outside he would say when he was told about an indoor waterfall.

For brunch - Dim Sum. Yum!

Before heading home the twins braved the super crowded ferry building to make some purchases at the salumeria stand. Navi chose some breakfast sausages and Ada chose blood sausages, extra yum.

Little Swimmers

Navi is one roll over away from earning his red ribbon and matching his sisters' swimming skills. It did not happen this week so he'll have to wait until the new year for his red ribbon attempt.

Today the twins had a private lesson, the other two kids did not show up.  Ada is working on other skills in the pool. She is looking better and better every week.

Because swim class went so well they were rewarded with a special lunch. Ada wanted Sushi Boat and Navi wanted 'hangurber.'  Hangurbers it was. Navi still deconstructs his food and eats it piece by piece.

Cute Moments

 Today Ada helped her big brother put on his socks.  Navi has always had difficulty getting his sock on correctly and to his comfort standards.

At school pick-up today Ada presented her daddy with a cake, made from ingredients found in the playground, yum.

Superb Weekend

 Elio and his sister, Eva, spent the weekend in San Francisco.  Elio was very excited to spend time with his cugini.

Part of the weekend was attending the twins' school holiday party.

 It was a lot of fun, but once the party got going it was going.  Kids everywhere! So when Babo Natale made an appearance and Ada, Navi and Elio got to say hello it was time to exit the party. Pictured above is Navi and Sebai, who last week gave Ada a lollypop because he felt bad when she did not get one at a birthday party they attended two weeks ago.

 On Monday the twins played hooky and took Elio to the zoo.

 Nonna was joined in the fun, which made the trip easier as the ratio of kid to adults was 1:1.

 Elio love hanging out at the zoo with his cugini.  He did very well in keeping up with Ada and Navi even though they have a year on him.

One night PapaJason made pasta from scratch and everyone helped until it got out of control and all but one kid was kicked out of the kitchen. It was a fun and tiresome weekend for all.
