Congratulations!

Ada and Navi passed their first swim test at La Petite Baleen. The test required them to, from a sitting position, lean into the water and swim six feet on their own and end on the ledge getting back into a sitting position. They each got a green ribbon and a coupon for a slice of pizza.

Kittens

The Lopezjones' are back to fostering kittens. Ada and Navi are both curious and excited to play with them.

More Corte Madera Fun

The next morning, the twins went out to play with Sofie on one of the walking trails near their Nonna's house. All three had so much fun. Thanks to Nonna...

And ZiaNonna, the daddies were able to cure their 'ailing' bodies after a night of reunion fun...

And have a great brunch with everyone. The kids had berries and yogurt, it only looks like dessert.

Marin Overnight

The Lopezjones' headed off to Marin Saturday for daddy Jason's 20th high school reunion. Lunch was had at the park along with some free time on the grass...And some fun times on the play structures. It was a warm day in the bay area. Summer is over and the heat didn't get the memo.
The twins enjoyed the weather with no tops. They also enjoyed more of daddy Jason's childhood toys than Nonna brought out.

"Uh-Oh," is Navi's new catch phrase, which you can hear in this video. And Ada's latest word can also be heard. Sofie the dog also enjoyed the twins' company.

Overnight In Salinas

On Tuesday the twins and daddy Quique went to Salinas to visit abuelito. Most of the day was spent in the garden eating the fruit from the trees.

Abuelita enjoyed every minute of the twins running around her garden, she delayed changing out of her work uniform just to spend time with them.

Navi did however manage to break a Halloween fixture, but abuelita did not mind at all. "Uh-Oh!" Navi would say over and over, which was worth hearing according to abuelita.

A Playdate

The twins' good friend Noah came over to San Francisco and joined them for a trip to the Academy of Sciences. For once, the penguins were actually swimming around and all three kids loved it. Thanks Noah for you company.

Family Day At The Zoo

With no real plan for the day, but the twins eager to do something. The Lopezjones' headed to the SF Zoo.
Lucky for Ada and Navi the carousel was free for an hour in the morning. This is one of Ada's favorite past times.The Kangaroo exhibit was of interest for the first time to Ada and Navi, maybe because the kangaroos were up close and moving around.

Of course we could not leave the zoo without riding the train. Both kids asked for it by name, "Choo-Choo."

A Date With A Canine

The twins went to work with daddy today. They did have to stay away from the office in order for daddy to get some work done. Navi liked pushing buttons on whatever machine he can reach.Nonna brought out some toys that daddy Jason used to play with and passed them on to the twins.The twins had lunch with Grandpa and Navi chowed down!

The canine the twins came to meet was Sofie. Ada and Navi were the test subjects with Sofie who is hanging out with their Nonna for a few days to see if she is a good fit to the family.

The twins liked Sofie and we think she liked them too. She did much better at our afternoon walk than Navi or Ada. They stopped every two feet to pick up rocks, dirt, sticks, and even dog poop.

A Visit From Abuelita

Abuelita came to visit the twins for a two night stay. Even Abuelita cannot get a break from these two, they were everywhere.After a few days cooped in the house, they finally got out to play. The sun was shining at Franklin Square playground while the rest of the city was under fog.

Swim Class With Uncle Doug

Uncle Doug joined the twins for swim class on Tuesday and everyone had tons of fun.
Their skills are developing quite well. But not enough to swim on their own yet.

But not everything in swim class is work. There is some time for fun.

A Busy Sunday

The Lopezjones' went to the SF Zoo today. At the children's zoo the twins went straight to the goat scratching its but on a tree stump and gave it a little brushing.The twins walked all over the zoo so they well deserved a ride on the train. "Choo," as Ada and Navi would say.Leaving the zoo the daddies asked the twins to hold hands. Ada loved holding her brother's hand, but Navi did not feel the same way. Leaving the city in the afternoon the Lopezjones' headed over to Livermore for a pool-play-date with their friend Atticus visiting from Colorado. Not many pictures were taken, but this one was taken at the last minute in their new size 2T pajamas.

A Weekend Of Visitors

On Friday Navi and Ada had a cousin of daddy Jason and his girlfriend visit for the day.
And the next day their friend Andrew and his dad came to visit for the rest of that day.

Labor Day 2010 - Part Three

The daddies decided to take the twins and their friends Noah and Andre on a hike on the granite rocks. Navi did an excellent job of climbing and scaling rocks on his own.At the top it was time for a break and snack.On the final day Ada and Navi decided they wanted to play in the lake. But it was only Navi who was up for getting in the water entirely. Ada just hung out at shore wading in the water. All in all these two had tons of fun camping and can't wait for next year!

Labor Day 2010 - Part Two

Lots of snacking and good eating for these two. They needed lots of energy because they were non-stop. The ATV was of course a favorite of Navi.

Ada liked a toy she borrowed from her new friend Andrew and loved getting dirty. Navi of course, again, hovered over food. Every time someone ate or he smelled something cooking he was there.

ZiaNonna and Nonna enjoyed the company of the twins for one entire afternoon, all the way to bed time. This gave the daddies a break to really enjoy camp. Thanks ZiaNonna and Nonna.

Labor Day 2010 - Part One

The twins have been up camping a few times this summer, but this was the big bash.

The daddies found it a lot easier even from just a month before, Ada and Navi kept themselves busy pretty much the whole time.Being very independent this time around does not mean there were people who were not chasing them around. Uncle Brad was more than happy to follow Navi during his voyages of exploration away from camp.And uncle Doug was more than happy to spoil the twins with plenty of hugs, kisses, and yummy snacks. Naps were very much needed for these two. They played non-stop and all day. Shirtless naps were taken because the tent warmed up during the day, they did not mind it at all in fact they loved it.

What An Exciting Day!

This morning daddy Quique took the twins shopping. The highlight of their morning, so they thought, was some construction near the parking lot. Navi loved it. To add the cherry on top, we were close to the airport and the planes flew very low for Navi and Ada to see up close.

After some shopping it was off to the Academy of Sciences, on the way there a little earthquake hit the area so they did not feel it. To add the their day of excitement, after an hour at the Academy of Sciences sirens went off and the entire museum was evacuated. Above is a picture of the twins out in the grass along with all the museum workers and volunteers. There was never any danger, but no reason was given to the evacuation.
