Visiting Friend

On Wednesday the Lopezjoneses had such a treat. They hosted Pete, Bea's dad for dinner, he was in town for work and stopped by to eat and chat. Ada was happy to see him and hear about Bea.

Napa Holiday Party

Before heading back to San Francisco, the Lopezjoneses stopped in Napa for a Holiday party. Navi's soccer mate and fellow 2nd grader at La Scuola hosted the party at their home. Navi immediately went out to investigate who's at this party and found many friends.
Ada on the other hand was a bit more shy and approached the party with caution hanging on to her dads.
Navi got into the groove of the playing with the other kids even though they were a year younger than he.
Ada, she needed more time.
Throughout the whole party the dads only could catch glimpses of Navi as he ran through the party and picking up snacks here and there.
Ada hung out with her dads through most of the party.
Lucky for her hanging out inside, she got to see this GIANT bottle of Rose - finished!
Eventually she made friends with others, but a little too late it was bedtime soon.
But not soon enough, there was still playtime indoors.
And dinner, last minute pasta. Lucky for them they were spending the night in Napa.

Christmas Tree Cutting

As is now tradition, the day after Thanksgiving everyone went out into the wood to search for their Christmas trees.
There was not much snow on the ground so it made it fairly easy to search for the perfect Tree.
Like last year, Navi wanted his own little tree.
 As did Ada.
Even though it's still November, the Christmas spirit has arrived.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving morning DaddyQuique took all five of the cousins to the local park. There was a lot of energy that needed to be released before tonight's feast.
After a few minutes in the play structure the twins and their cousins set off to play in the trees.
This year's Thanksgiving had a very special treat. UncleDavid was deep frying a turkey, yum!
Then came the food! All the kids were seated first to eat.
Everyone had a little bit of everything made; turkey, green beans, stuffing, mashed potatoes and ravioli (not on their plate was the cranberries, kale, collard greens, and salad).
This year with so many friends and family there were four tables needed for dinner.
It was such a great feast!

Squaw Valley

For the holiday weekend the Lopezjoneses headed to Squaw for the usually family gathering.
Ave could not wait for her primos (Ave is not studying Spanish like her brother) and even counted down the hours until they got there.
Slowly everyone made their way in. The Joneses were hosting 24 people for thanksgiving.
All the cousins did go out for a hike and Jaxton (the youngest) did a great job keeping up with everyone.
Later that evening Nonna let her grand kids set up the Christmas village, with working train.
For dinner the kids had their own table and ate early so that they can finish and run off. The adults can then eat in peace.

Sunday Funday

Sunday morning, having their weekends back, the Lopezjoneses went to Half Moon Bay to buy dinner.
They got two 2.5lbs crabs, fresh of the fisherman's boat.
After purchasing dinner they headed off for a hike. It was a very nice day for one, just a little nip in the air.
At the end of the hike they found an old dairy farm built at the turn of the century. The twins had fun exploring inside and out.
The hike built up a pretty good appetite so a gourmet lunch was in order at Dad's Luncheonette, a lunch spot by a very notable SF chef.
That evening it was time to prepare dinner. Ada was very curious about her dinner and even hosted a crab race.
Lucky for everyone a special guest joined them for dinner, UncleSarge!
Crab and split pea soup for dinner. Delicious.

Dinner Party and Playdates

Dinner party. The twins were invited to their friend Aidan's house for dinner. But before the evening engagement Navi had a playdate with Aidan while Ada had a playdate with her friend Hadleigh.

Salinas Birthday Party

Right after Ada's soccer game this weekend the Lopezjoneses headed down to Salinas to celebrate Benji turning 10!
Everyone could not wait until it was time to hit the piñata. Navi broke the piñata on his turn with hit number two.
It was an excellent birthday, only three of the younger cousins were missing, but everyone had so much fun.
Lucky for the twins, Benji and Marky Abue rented the bounce house for 24 hours which meant the next morning they went straight to the bounce house.
All the parents were happy to have them jump for an hour so early in the morning to tire them out.
Fun times in Salinas.

Calicio News

The twins had their final soccer matches of the season. Navi's team finished their season with a win, a spirit booster they needed for sure.
With one game on one side of the city and the other on the opposite side, both games right in the middle of lunch time, DaddyQuique popped over to Japan Town for lunch during Ada's game and bought everyone hand rolls.
Sadly Ada's team lost their final game, but that did not bother anyone since there were end of the season cupcakes to eat, and two batches of home-made cookies.
In other soccer news Gian Marco and his team won the 2017 RRAC Men's soccer title in Texas. They move on to the NAIA Soccer National Championship Opening Round on Saturday November 18.
Congratulations Gian Marco! Go Jaguars!
