Farming

For dinner one night Ada helped PapaJason harvest shiitake mushrooms being grown at home.  She had so much fun seeing them grow. This week they grew mushrooms and sprouts, everyone in house can't wait for spring to arrive so they can start planting in the garden.

Colorado Weather

 Sunday Afternoon was beautiful in Niwot, CO.  Here is a picture of the Rocky Mountains.

 That night the snow started to fall and this is what the town awoke to Monday morning.

 The Lopezjones', Nonna, Grandpa, Roger, ZiaNonna and the Rebhans met for breakfast on the Californians last day there.  Ada had so much fun sitting next to Travis and Davis, they were very attentive to her pestering.

Everyone had a fun time in Colorado.  The snow kept coming down even on the flight out.  Navi, Ada got to see their plane being de-iced for the first time. They all can't wait to go back to Colorado again.

Happy Birthday 'Uncle' Jan

 Saturday evening everyone headed over to AuntyJan's house to surprise her for her birthday. She was surprised to see so many family members from California.

 Ada and Wila headed straight to the buffet table, even thought they had just eaten.

 Navi took a better approach.  He fixed up himself a plate of food and found a seat and made himself comfortable.

After the food, the twins went down stairs to find a space of their own to play and pass the time.

 The next morning the twins and Wila were promised cake for breakfast. AuntyJan didn't get to cutting the cake the night before so she was happy to share with the kids.

 Sunday afternoon Wila had to fly back home.  Navi enjoyed playing with the piano.

 But the twins enjoyed best playing with their cousins who were happy to play.

That evening UncleGeorge made a yummy dinner for everyone and  Ada, Navi, Kaana and the boys made up the kids table in the kitchen.  Ada, Navi and Kaana slept in AuntyJan and UncleGeorge's house.  The twins were happy with this arrangement because their daddies slept a mile away in town at a hotel.

Colorado

 On Saturday the Lopezjones' headed to the airport to catch a plane to Denver.

 When landing, the kids were shown the cockpit of the plane.  They got to sit in the pilot and co-pilot seats.

 From the airport they headed to Longmont, CO to PapaJason's Uncle George's house. Where they met Nonna, Grandpa, ZioRoger, ZiaNonna, their friend Wila and her aunty and grandma and half of the Colorado family.

 It was a nice sunny day and Ada, Wila and Navi were having so much fun with the dogs.

They also enjoyed their cousins Travis and Davis.

Alone Time

Lately the twins have been getting some personal space from each other.  During bath time they are asked if one wants to bathe by themselves and then the other can play on their own.  They both like having the tub all to themselves so they take turns during bath time.  A few days ago, with Ada in the tub, DaddyQuique and Navi were able to build a fort (thanks to a wonderful birthday gift from Noah and his family).

Bike Ride

The twins wanted to go for a bike ride today, but there are not many good places in SF for a child to ride their bike, so the Lopezjones' headed to Treasure Island (still part of SF) to try their luck there.

 Unfortunately the trail they had planned on riding was closed, but luckily there was a small park with a paved track around it that was perfect for Ada and Navi to ride.

 PapaJason and Kaana ran around the island and met up with the twins after their run.

It was a beautiful winter day and the views were amazing.

Birthday/Beach Day

On Saturday PapaJason, the twins and Kaana all went to a birthday party at House of Air (a indoor trampoline park) in the Presidio.  Afterwards they joined a few classmates at the beach on a lovely warm winter day in San Francisco.

Futbol/Soccer

 Ada and Navi have been attending a soccer class for the past several weeks. It's an indoor soccer field out by Pier 80 in a 'way out there' part of San Francisco.

 The coaches for the class are both women, an excellent example for Ada both dads thought.

They both have a lot of fun in the 1 hour class, especially now that two of their school mates are in the class.

Birthday Party

 The twins attended their classmate Bea's birthday party at a familiar space.

 Two years ago they came to her birthday at an art studio.  This time the activity was different, more age appropriate.

 Most of their class mates were there.  Ada and Navi had so much fun.  All the children really liked the cupcakes.

Cold Weather

 It got chilly again in the West Coast, not as cold as the rest of the US, but none the less. The Lopezjones' are lucky to have a working fireplace and wood form Huntley Mill.

Saturday was a very very lazy day. PapaJason did a few great projects with the twins, but for the most part everyone just laid about, read, did homework, and watched a few movies.

The Discovery Museum

 Last week the twins went to the Discovery Museum in Sausalito.  It's been a while since the last time they were there, as one can see from this picture.

 The twins met up with Noah and his family, which will be adding a baby sister in a few months.

 The weather was really nice and everyone had fun exploring the games and activities available.

 Noah showed the twins a cool new room (new to the twins) and they all had so much fun pretending to be fisherman and exploring the fishing boat.

 Navi pretended to work at a food stand.

After lunch and more playtime the Lopezjones' and the Mendez-Alms' took a walk around Fort Baker to see the Golden Gate Bridge. Everyone had so much fun, especially when it came time to exchanging Christmas gifts.

Pete - January 6, 2014

 Pete passed away last night and it seemed to have been a quiet passing.  Ada and Navi did not seem too affected by the news in the morning.

 Pete was brought to Corte Madera to be buried next to Dolly (the pet rat form many years ago). Pete was the first four legged family member to join the Lopezjones household.  He lived a long life (in rabbit terms) and a very full filling one.

   Ada and Navi could not get Pete's name right during the burial and called him Jackie at times, so they probably will be okay.

Back To School

 All three kids are back in school now.  After pick up the twins headed to the Mission Playground and then do a little window shopping on Valencia Street where they purchased some DIY projects with a little Christmas money they had received.

The finished product was a bird feeder, Ada, and a bird house, Navi.  Both twins are happy to be back at school with friends.  Kaana is also happy to see friends at school, but being back at school tired her out a little.

Happy New Year!!!!2014!!!!

 There were a lot of guest who showed up at the Lopezjones' residence and ada helped PapaJason prepare the ribs for the New Year's Eve feast.

 Many of PapaJason's friends from college came to celebrate the New Year in SF. Ada and Navi were very happy to have Andrew here to play with them.

 A college and high school friend of DaddyQuique came to celebrate as well.

 After an hour at the playground Kaana, Ada, Navi and Andrew got to see neighbors Tom and Jerry's annual Christmas decorations.  Andrew was wowed!
