Surprise Guest

The twins have a guest for a few days, Uncle George from Colorado, also known as Curious George to the twins.
There were more than two kids at the dinner table last night. Ada had filled up on crackers and olives before dinner so she was giving all her attention to Curious George.

Tough Love

The picture says it all. Ada chases Lucy around the house, carries her to the couch and 'loves' her. The daddies aren't worried about Lucy, they think she likes the attention because she does not try to escape or hide from Ada. This time she did not have much of a choice to get away.

He's Poppin'

At the Academy of Science gift shop, the twins got to peruse around for the first time and last. Navi thought the sunglasses were very cool, he picked up a stuffed albino alligator and was ready to claim it as his new toy, but of course the price said otherwise, so daddy Quique opted for $0.69 albino alligator pencil erasers.

Branching Out

The twins have been going to the Academy of Science for over two years now. When they started walking they would kind of stick to the same route each visit. But now, they are switching things up and seeing their favorite exhibits (the sting rays, coral reef and amazon aquariums) and skipping others (the African Hall and Penguins). They are also exploring and interacting with the educational exhibits. They will make great tour guides for family and friends.

Finally, Sunlight!

The sun finally decided to show itself in San Francisco today, so after the twins got up from their nap their walk around the neighborhood turned into a walk to the ice cream parlor. Ada very much enjoyed sharing her roasted banana ice cream, she was way too busy eating her treat she could not be bothered to look up for a picture.

Sunday Outting

The Lopezjones family went to Golden Gate park to take advantage of the street closure to vehicles and let the kids go wild with their tricycles. Navi cruised at a simple speed on his tricycle,.Ada on the other hand was a little speed racer. She loved going fast and figured out a system where she pushed her self with one foot only which made her go a lot faster.
They loved their tricycles and the fresh air.

Creativity

The creativity wall. In the corner of the living room dedicated to the twins there's a wall just for them where their work can be on display. Here was their latest. This is Ada's, "Princesa" mask (princess).
And Navi's, "Mono" mask although it looks more like a pig/bear than a monkey.

Just Keep Swimming

Daddy Quique was unable to swim this week, but he was able to take pictures and film Ada and Navi at their best.Grandma-Annie helped out in the pool.
Even Abuelita was there to see the twins swim. This is probably why Navi had such fun and a big smile.
Ada too, there were plenty of people to show off to.

The obstacle course, led by teacher Jackie.
Since there were no other kids in class today it was like a private lesson for the twins. And this was probably the best class ever, so far.
Ada and Navi worked hard and got to have fun and play at the same time.
In this clip Ada is trying her best to follow instructions, she does okay. Keep an eye on Navi, he's in his own little world with that pink noodle.

What Does A Doughnut Say About You?

The twins got a very special snack this morning, on the way to the museum daddy Quique stopped at a doughnut shop and let them choose their treat of choice. Navi chose a sugar covered doughnut, the sugar went everywhere.
When told she was going to have a doughnut Ada instead wanted, "salchicha," or sausage. But once we got into the doughnut shop and she saw the sweets her tuned changed to, "cupcakes!" Ada chose a chocolate covered doughnut with sprinkles.

Finally!

After a very late opening of Huntley Mill, the Lopezjones' finally made it out to camp. For breakfast one morning the twins had bagels with cream cheese, lox, and red onion.
The Rebhan family made their yearly visit and the boys had so much fun with the twins. And the daddies could not thank them enough for entertaining Ada and Navi.At camp, there was not a lot of people out there, but few made it out for the day or just an overnight.
Auntie Jan was happy to see the twins, and the daddies. She enjoyed hanging out with Ada and Navi and reminiscing about when her boys were young.
At camp Navi was very eager to help with the camp fire.
Their cugino Elio made it out for the day before the twins went home, but really had fun playing in the lake.

1st Day of Pre-School

Both kids were happy to be back at the Scuola. Upon entering their classroom Navi ran right away to the toys, Ada dug her face in one of he dad's leg, but got over it quick.
The kids were aloud to go play outside to help make the transition easy when parents left. When goodbyes were said to Navi he ran away and continued playing somewhere else; Ada had this expression on her face as if to say, "You're leaving? Why?" Both daddies left the school without a tear from either kid.
Ada and Navi last seen playing before the dads left. Upon pick up, the teachers told daddy Quique that Ada did very well and did not cry once. Navi, however, did cry when he realized his dad's left and waited at the exit gate, he was quickly distracted by playing in the dirt and forgot about the matter. The school's director was impressed at how much Navi ate, three bowls of pasta, and that's because they cut him off at three. Ada had a small fit leaving the school, Navi followed directions well and went straight to the gate. They loved it and probably can't wait until Friday for another day at pre-school!

What A Treat, For The Daddies

After a day of at the playground, the Lopezjones' had sushi for lunch and the twins loved it. Their first favorite item was, well the fact that the sushi was on a boat going round and round was the main thing they liked, but the baby fried octopus was liked.
Ada loved the topiko, fish roe, and had plenty of it since it was not favored by Navi. Everyone ate plenty and was very satisfied.
