Christmas Day

The next morning (Christmas morning) the Lopezjones headed back to San Francisco and the twins found some gifts under the tree from Babbo Natale.
Looks like Santa got Ada's letter, earrings - clip on earrings.
Later that day Nonna, Grandpa, ZiaNonna and UncleDoug came over to have Christmas dinner.  Merry Christmas.

Christmas Eve

The Christmas celebrations began in Salinas and a hike at Pt. Lobos State Natural Reserve.
It was a little bit cold, but the hike provided beautiful views and the Lopezjones' even got to see grey whales, sea otters, and plenty of sea lions.
Back in Salinas Ada and Navi had a whole day with Abuelito while their daddies went over to 'Petes house to help prepare the tamales for the evening.
Christmas celebrations for the Lopezjones began at TiaDalila's house on the eve of Christmas with a lot of food (no karaoke this year) and a fire outside.
Paloma joined in the fun too.
 And there was a piñata.
 Which is a Mexican tradition.
All the little ones enjoy it.  Merry Christmas.

School's Closed - Rain Day

There's a huge storm in the bay area and perhaps the media has blown it out of proportion, but most schools in the bay area are closed and so was the twins' school.  It rained all day and never stopped so everyone stayed indoors, played games, watched movies, took care of household tasks, or worked from home to pass the time.
Later in the afternoon a special package came from Japan with lots of wonderful treats to eat!

La Scuola Winter Concert

Wednesday night the twins performed in their first schoo concert where they sang 4 songs with their classmates.
The Lopezjones arrived early for set-up and a pizza party.
For the most part they kids were well behaved upstairs except for a few little incidents of excitement from some of the kids.
Here is the La Scuola Kindergarten class performing Shalom Chaverim.
Also, a few special friends made it to the concert.

Sunday Parties - Party 3

After the birthday party it was the neighborhood progressive holiday party in the evening.  The twins started at one house where they had fizzy juice drinks.
And then off to another house for food and then to another house for desserts.  By the end of the evening both Ada and Navi had stomach aches.  Those two ate so much at all three parties that day.

Sunday Parties - Party 2

After the school party the twins headed across town for a double Birthday Party, their classmates Sachin and Isabella turned six.  Navi's best friends Matteo was back from Italy and there to celebrate, Navi was very happy to have him back.
Entertainment for the party was a balloon man who sang and danced.
And made fun balloon creatures, characters and other fun things.
Ada and Navi had so much fun because all of their school mates were there and some from last year's class to have fun and celebrate.

Sunday Parties - Party 1

On Sunday party number one started early in the morning.
The La Scuola Holiday party was held at a rec. center in the Sunset.
There were a few familiar faces and a lot of new ones from the pre-school.
And a special appearance by Babo Natale.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like....

Christmas decorations came out of storage.  Ada and Navi could not wait to start decorating their Christmas tree.
There was plenty to do on a very tall tree, they both stuck with it and finished within an hour.
 This year's Christmas tree.
Oh and the twins hosted a special guest for an overnight.  Sophie.

A Change In Weather

Those sunny days are over.  There have been massive storms in the SF Bay Area which has brought some very well needed rain. But when the rain stops, it makes for beautiful pictures and rainbows.

A Special Thanksgiving Skype

On Sunday the twins had a special skype call with someone in Japan. Kaana! They were excited to talk in front of the laptop for about one minute and then moved on.  But the daddies had a great conversation with her and were updated on what's she's been doing.
So what had Kaan been up to? The next day Ada and Navi watched a clip of Kaana's band performing their very first show.  Here's the clip, click on the link below. Her band is the first group performing;

Christmas Time Is Here

The next day after Thanksgiving the all the Jones' and family headed out to cut down Christmas trees. Luckily everyone found theirs very quickly.
It was quite cold, but that did not stop everyone from having turkey sandwiches for lunch.
For the rest of the day Ada and Navi just hung out in the house with their Nonna and ZiaNonna.
The next morning the twins awoke to find the start of a snow storm outside.
It was a light snow that came down and the Lopezjones headed out of there before it really came down and risked the possibility of being stuck.

Happy Thanksgiving

The twins had a wonderful time in Squaw Valley this holiday.
They shared the usual Thanksgiving meal and time with family.
Ada's favorite part of the holiday was the desserts and Navi's was the turkey.
