Showing Love

During one of the kids' bath, Lucy came in to watch. She was very curious at the bath water, there were a few ants floating, but she never says no to a kiss.

Exercising in Mexico

One day the daddies and the twins went for a walk to a church just two blocks away.
Two blocks away and up a hill, that is.
There were great views from the top and a quaint church, totally empty and all to ourselves.

Lucky for everyone there was a small store at the base of the church. Cookies and water for snack.

More Mexico

The twins spent a lot of time playing in the jardin. The abuelos joined them one afternoon and everyone got to eat walnut and coconut ice cream.
Navi even got to play in a fountain. At one point Abuelito's boots slipped, he and Navi almost ended up in the fountain.Later that day it was off to the fair. Moroleon has been in festivities for two weeks all leading up to this. The stand behind there is where papa Jason got a HUGE michilada, sadly is was not that good.Navi and Ada enjoyed the, non-OSHA-approved, rides; the daddies made sure to choose carefully which rides seemed appropriate for them as there were not many safety measures in place, no seat belts.Heading on home daddy Quique spotted a pony ride, the most expensive ride of the night, less than $2US. So the twins went over to see if they wanted a ride.

Somehow, patience was not with Navi and before the ride got started he was off the pony. Ada, hesitant at first really had fun and lasted the entire ride.

Morelia Michoacan

One day the Lopezjones' took a bus ride to Morelia to visit friends of the Jones family. First stop was at Leticia's house and the twins found something to keep themselves entertained right away, water, stale tortillas and a dust pan.There was also a kitten who loved Navi and followed him all throughout the garden. They were great friends by the time we left. Ada did not like the kitten so much only because she would wag her finger at him and say, "No kitty," and the kitten of course saw her wagging fingers as a tease and pounced every time.Here's Ada, daddy Quique and Leticia.

Here's Blanca and the twins. She and her family hosted an asada for us at her home.

The twins had fun playing in Blanca's garden. And Ada enjoyed eating many many tiny sour mandarins. Navi found some logs to play with, as you can see in the back of the picture.

Mexico

With no need to adjust to the new time, Moroleon being two hours ahead of SF, everyone walked over to the Jardin (town square) to enjoy the sun and...Run around chasing pigeons.Then it was a quick walk, the daddies walked Navi and Ada were carried, to their other great granma's house, Mester (who was also in town visiting), but she was out running errands so to her garden we all went to eat. Look closely at the tree in front of Jason and Ada, there was something really tasty and plenty of.Pomegranates.And the twins loved it. They especially liked discarding what was left over to the chickens running around.

There was also guava (which Ada enjoyed and is eating in this picture), oranges, and limas (which is a sour-sweet fruit, a cross between a lemon/lime and an orange).

Mexico - The First Days

The flight to Mexico went a lot better than expected. Both kids were well behaved everyone made it in one piece. The secret: SNACKS!

Upon arriving in Moroleon we were greeted with some great 'fast-food,' enchiladas, tacos (taquitos as they are known in the states), and pickled pig's feet for papa Jason. All made by hand by a woman who opens up her house at night and sells food. Everyone ate happily.

There was plenty to see...And explore the next day.

Ada can be shy at first, but once you're in the circle she will flirt away.
Navi loves to try on shoes/boots and he does well walking around in them. And yes, his fingers are in his nose, that seems to be the latest trend amongst these siblings.

Ada thinks she's quite helpful in feeding others. She also tried to help the rabbits sometimes.
Thai take-out was for dinner one night and who knew that both Ada and Navi, especially Ada, would love the Tom Yum Gai, a spicy & sour soup. The heat was a bit much for her, she panted at every spoonful, but she loved it so much she stuck out the heat and ate away.

Mexico Lindo

We made it safe and sane to Mexico. The twins were fantastic on the plane ride. Here's Ada and Navi in Ma'Maria's kitchen eating some kind of local bread.

Tickle-Me-Elmo is kind of hard to tickle and get 'em laughing, so the twins found another way.

¡Feliz Viaje!

The twins are off on their next international adventure. The Lopezjones' are off to the city of Moroleon, Guanajuato located in the Northern Central Highlands of Mexico. Hasta Luego.

He's Really A Nice Guy

Navi is very sweet to his little sister. But sometimes he does not feel like sharing a really good thing, food. Don't worry, Ada had plenty and was 'excused' from the table early due to some unruly playing with her food and plate.

Good Eating

Most everyone who has met the twins know they are good eaters.
An most know that these two eat what their parents eat.
Navi the past few days has not been his usual eating machine. But it is good to remember that he does eat a lot and is entitled to days when he does not want to eat much.

A Jolly Visitor

Zio Roger came to visit the twins and he brought gifts. Beef Jerky...

And a radioflyer wagon!! The twins were so excited to have another gift to unwrap.

Earlier in the evening Nonna tried to show the twins how much fun bubble wrap can be (with supervision of course).

Ada got the idea in the end.

Always Happy To Have Friends

Navi and Ada had such a fun New Years celebration simply because they received so much attention. Uncle Doug never fails to make these two laugh and play.

At first greeting, she had just waken up, Ada was a bit shy around uncle Brad, but after a few hours and a day or two, she turned right around or upside down in this case.

The last time aunty Heather saw these two, Ada was a very generous girls and spit up on Heather quite a bit. Now almost two all three really enjoyed each other's company without having to change outfits through out the day.

Although there were times when one needed a little break from everyone.

Mission Playground

Navi weighs over 30 pounds. He enjoys walks, watching big machines (trucks, trains, planes), playing with building blocks, running, jumping, climbing, and eating! He likes to eat everything that's not green and like his papa Jason, does not have a sweet tooth. He likes doing good and staying out of trouble. He's fast becoming a good swimmer and is getting around to speaking a lot more now.Ada weighs over 28lbs and enjoys being carried on walks, is fascinated with Elmo, likes to follow (and mimic) her big brother, and testing authority. She loves helping papa Jason prepare salads nightly and eating them too. She does not like eggs or cheese and like daddy Quique she does have a sweet tooth. She also enjoys swimming and is quite a chatterbox.

After an afternoon at the playground the whole group went out for burgers. Andrew, who is 9 months older than the twins, had a fun time with Ada yelling at the top of his lungs. Navi had a major meltdown, or two, but after daddy Quique took him outside and had a talk with him he calmed down and ate his lunch. Ada won the best-behaved child award that afternoon.

Happy New Year

Navi and Ada had many guests visiting them to celebrate the new year. Here's a dinner scene before the festivities. Poor Ada, she began chocking on her food when this picture was taken, no harm was done.
