Bike Ride

The twins had a free day from school Friday so they decided to go on a bike ride.
The trail was an old road in Pacifica. Lot's of mud, bumps and poison oak.
Slowly the trail sloped up hill.
There were a few parts where one had to walk to get safely across.
Once high above the hill, the views were awesome!
Going back down there was no pedaling involved, it was mostly holding on the the break and taking in the views.

Parent Teacher Conferences

This year's parent teacher conferences began with the students starting the conferences. They read a two page paper summarizing their work in school, what needs work, where they shine and what they love the most.
Ada was great on her reading in Italian and has improved significantly in public speaking.

Food

Here's a way to motivate a kids to eat their vegetables... let them know what's for dessert.
Other times you don't need to coax them to eat, especially when it's some of the best hamburgers in San Francisco, WesBurger'N'More.

Special Guests

Last Week the Lopezjoneses had a few guests visiting. Gian Marco and his girlfriend, Irene, were spending their spring break in San Francisco.
Bea was in town as well, her mom was here working on the La Scuola's gala. Bea stayed over of course.
Later in the week the Lopezjoneses hosted a dinner for Gian and Irene. Nonna, Grandpa and ZiaNonna came over to see Gian. As well as Gian good friends Lorenzo and Tommaso.
It was a fun party even for the young ones.
With so many people over for dinner, the twins and Bea had their own table for dinner, a kids table.

New Routine

Monday morning the twins' took the bus to school on their own. The dads walk them down to catch the bus. They taken a few times before to try it out, but this time it's happening
The dads waved goodbye to them as the bus went off. This particular bus line, a few blocks from home, stops on the same block as La Scuola. Their stop is half a block from school, on the same block and it does not require them to cross any streets.

Sunday Street Days

Sunday morning in San Francisco was extra gloomy and the entire city engulfed in fog. PapaJason's idea of bicycling lost traction. But by lunch time the Lopezjoneses' headed out of the house and the sun came out. They headed into the Mission to enjoy Sunday Streets and walk all along Valencia street.
The day turned out to be a very nice one. The twins enjoyed walking the streets and seeing all the great characters that are San Franciscans.

Calcio

Soccer season has started. Ada's team Ragazze Veloce started their season with a 2-0 victory at the South Sunset Playground.
Meanwhile 5 minutes after Ada's game finished, at the West Sunset Soccer Fields, Navi's team, Draghi Blu, began their season with a new coach and a 2-4 loss. It was great game and every kid on that team played a great game.

Science Friday

On Friday the grade 3/4 class hosted assemblea at school and presented their science experiments. Not sure why, but Navi did not present his - he says it did not work.
Ada and her partner Paloma presented their experiment. But Ada let Paloma do all the talking, in front of the school and in their presentation video.
Their experiment did have a yummy outcome.

Rockstar Chef

After going to the movies one afternoon the Lopezjoneses headed to Japantown to pick up some ingredients for dinner.
Ada was cooking that night and boy did she deliver!
All on her own, with a little help in cooking the rice, she was able to make a plate of sushi for the whole family. And it was delicious.

Weekend Outing

It's been cold in the Bay Area lately, but the Lopezjoneses still manage to get out for some fresh air and walk about the city.  On Saturday they had lunch in the Castro and stopped at the Eurke Valley playground.
It's been a while since the twins have visited this playground. Mostly because they've outgrown it.
But they are still able to enjoy themselves, even if it just for 10 minutes.
