Island Living

Ada and Navi are in Cozumel Mexico for the week. With three pools and the calm ocean waters right off the property they have been having so much fun.

Happy Easter

The sun was up early and so were the twins. There were some treats hidden about.

AuntyJan brought Easter to the twins and hid eggs in the house.

Their backyard for the week would not work for hiding Easter eggs.

Lunch Date

After swim class the twins headed to Marin for a little shopping. Afterwards they met PapaJason and AuntyShane for a very yummy lunch at a restaurant that uses only local ingredients. They both enjoyed a panini and sitting outdoor watching the clouds pass by waiting to see if it rained. It did not.

A Birthday

The twins had a chance to celebrate Nonna's birthday this week. They made flowers, cards and a birthday apple pie. Hide and seek was the highlight of the evening even though both Ada and Navi need to learn not to peek while counting to seek.

Salinas Overnight

 The twins spend some time in Salinas over the weekend. Benji and baby Mark were there too.  The trees were in bloom, but no fruit yet.

It was an all play weekend.  There was a lot of running around and climbing trees.

And then Abuelito. Everyone had a fun time.

Secret Doors

Last week the twins had learned about a secret door somewhere in Golden gate park.  They found it.  They both had a hard time believing it was a elf or fairy's home, but thought it was cute.

Meeting New Faces

 Ada and Navi travelled to Sacramento over the weekend to meet their new cugino, Jaxton.

 But the real fun started at ZioTodd's new resturant where both kids got to enjoy a Shirley Temple and a tour  of the bar.

 The next morning the twins got to see the Sacramento Zoo.

They got to see how baby ant eaters are made.

Fun Sunday

 The Lopezjones' headed to the south bay for a 3 mile hike.  The twins did fantastic and enjoyed the picnic lunch PapaJason carried.

 Then it was off to a classmates birthday party.

 There were rides and Navi specifically asked for the brown horse.  He enjoyed  his ride very much.  Ada was not up to riding the horse or pony.

 She was more enthusiastic about the craft project, it involved glitter, sequences, glitter paints, and neon hair extensions.

It was a fun birthday party and both Ada and Navi enjoyed playing with their classmates outside of school.

New Playground

 After swim class the twins played in a tucked away playground down an alley in Cow Hollow. It's a bit hidden, but well known with neighbors.

There was a lot of sand and donated toys. It was a very cute and quaint space.

Lady Bug Release Party

 Over the weekend the twins helped plant vegetables and flowers in the garden.

 Right before bed they released ladybugs into the garden.  Ada was very excited, but did not want to touch them directly, she used a lid to disperse them.

"They tickle," Navi said as the lady bugs crawled up his arms. Who knows how many ladybugs they will find in the garden in the coming days.

The Zoo

 It has been a while since the twins have visited the zoo. So after swim class, a drive literally from one side of the city to the other, they made it to the zoo to check out the new Dinosaur exhibit.

There was a dino climbing wall and lots of other interactive exhibits like a zip line, a dino puzzle wall, a kids' archeological dig all hidden within a maze. It was a fun short trip to the zoo.

A Treat... For The Dads

Yum... by request this week the twins asked to have mussels for dinner. DaddyQuique and PapaJason were happy and proud of their request. So mussels with chorizos for dinner it was. (Navi is not featured in this posting as he asked not to be photographed, which happens quite frequently.)

Tuesday Outing

 The twins headed to Golden Gate Park where a race ensued in front of the De Young.

 Later into the Academy of Sciences they went.  DaddyQuique and Ada noticed the eels were really large this time around.  It has been a couple of months since they last visited.

Afterwards, snack at the fountain and then off to a playground to finish up the outing.

Weekend Visitors

 Over the weekend Abue and Abuelito came to visit the twins.  They were in town for Ada and Navi's preschool annual fundraiser. Abuelito took the twins to the park one morning.

And then to the back garden for some weed pulling. The twins had a fun time with their grandparents as well as ZiaNonna and ZioRoger who joined in the fun for one afternoon.
