Dinosaur Party

Over the weekend the twins joined Noah in Concord to celebrate his 5th birthday.
There were lots of dinosaur related activities including a scavenger hunt.
Everyone was excited about the cake and all had a great tie.  Happy Birthday Noah.
Kaana had missed the birthday party because she has been busy with start of dragonboat, she had practice that day.

President's Day Hike

Schools were closed for the President's Day holiday and the Lopezjones' headed to San Mateo for a hike.  The start of the trail was filled with banana slugs everywhere.
This was the longest hike the twins have ever done, 6 miles!
The views were amazing.

Sunday Bike Ride

With things back to their usual the Lopezjones' went on their Sunday bike ride in the park. Afterwards, instead of sushi boat they went home and made ramen, the twins called it Ponyo soup, they had watched the movie the night before.

All Good Things Must Come To An End

Ada and Navi have been enjoying so much having Malte and Phillip around the house.
They have happily shared their room with them and made some great friends to play with, constantly.
I am sure they will miss them.
Kaana also benefited from their visit, she finally got to go to Alcatraz Island.
On the final morning of Malte and Phillip's stay there was a Skype call with Magnus.

The twins have never been really interested in Skype calls until now.
The twins were stretching the limits and had to be removed eventually.  Safe travel Malte & Phillip.

Happy Valentine's Day

The twins' school did not allow them to pass out Valentine's cards in class, but did celebrate with a few activities. They were happy to receive a few cards in the mail and a little box of chocolates from PapaJason, they each got their own including Kaana.

International Travelers

The twins have been playing host to Magnus' brother Malte and his best friend Phillip who have been travelling around the USA and Canada from Germany.
They have been having so much fun with their new friends.
They even hosted a special dinner with Lynne and Andre who knew Magnus and wanted to meet Malte and Phillip.  Ada love that they got to stay up past bed time that night.

Salinas day trip

On Sunday the twins went to Salinas to see Abue and Abuelito who had returned from Mexico the week before.  For their birthday Abue gave them hooded towels and the kids liked using them as capes.
Ada had discovered that Abue's chicken, Chleo, had laid 7 eggs that went unnoticed.
Abuelito started to BBQ and then called TiaDalila who came with P'ete and then Dalila's husband joined us for lunch.  Then Elva and her two kids showed up and late in the afternoon Irma, her husband, and one of her son with his son showed up to the impromptu BBQ.
Ada and Navi had so much fun playing with all their cousins.  It was a great day trip as it did not rain in Salinas and poured all day in San Francisco.

Rainy Day

Ada and Navi did not have school today and it was a very rainy day. They went to the Academy of Sciences, which they have not been in a long time. Afterwards, they went to the Music Concourse to find the secret door on one of the trees.
Then it was puddle time. They ran around playing tag and jumping on puddles.
At home, dress up was still fun for ada and DaddyQuique. This was DaddyQuique's design.
Ada liked a more simpler 'cinderella' look.
There was also a tea party that Navi, Mono and, introducing, Mandril attended.  Hosted by Ada of course.

Their Birthday

On the morning of their birthday the twins awoke to find very festive decor for breakfast and a rainy day.
They were asked what they wanted to do for their birthday and they wanted to see a movie.  Linda joined in the fun.
Everyone went downtown, except Kaana - she was away on a AFS retreat, and Linda had a bag full of treats just in case they got a little restless in the theatre. Afterwards it was back home to greet Kaana and watch the Puppybowl (instead of the Super Bowl DaddyQuique likes to watch puppies play football instead).
For dinner they wanted to eat hot dogs and make cupcakes.
They each got to blow out candles, perhaps next year they will understand better about making wishes.
Everyone had a great day, but the highlight for the twins were the cupcakes.
