Weekday Party

Midweek Party. On Wednesday Ada's good friend Adele invited the whole family to her and her friend's impromptu birthday party. She was visiting from New York and needed new friends to celebrate with. An update on Ada's arm. She did fracture it and luckily for her she only needs a splint for 2-3 weeks.
Here's Navi doing his homework on the bass. Ada has been excused from practicing her mandolin and violin for now.

Oops!

The dads got a call from school this afternoon that Ada had fallen off the play structure (she had jumped off and didn’t land quite right) and hurt her wrist. DaddyQuique had to pick her up and take her home. Her wrist was swollen and so she iced it at home. Later that evening the swelling was still there. Off to urgent care they went...
For an X-ray.
And there it was. A minor fracture.
She had a splint placed and was sent home to see an orthopedic tomorrow to decide weather she will need a cast or splint.

Grand Suprise Guest

Saturday night Navi hosted his friend Aidan for a sleepover. Ada was in Santa Cruz for a sleep over birthday party. The next morning the dads and the boys went out for an early breakfast in The Castro.
Later in the afternoon Ada's best friend Bea, who moved to North Carolina, was in town for her Spring Break. She stopped by to hang out with Ada.
And stayed throughout the evening and Navi's soccer mate Leon joined in with his family to hang out with the Sheahans.
While all the parents ate and drank wine the kids watched a movie. The movie was in Italian, but all the kids (except for Gianluca) complained they spoke to fast and could not understand it so it was switched to English.
Ada loved having Bea back, even if it was just for a day. She'll be back in a couple days for a sleepover before she heads back east.

3 Day Weekend

This weekend the twins had the Friday off from school, kind of. They still had to go to school and lead their parent teacher conferences. They did great!
After the conferences Nonna joined them for a Scandinavian lunch. Navi chose the biggest meal which was a board filled with 7 yummy items of his choosing - and he finished it all.
The next day it was soccer time. Navi won another game scored one goal this time, he scored 5 last weekend. Ada did not have a game, she and her dads agreed she could leave her team and focus her Thursdays, practice days, on an after school activity having to do with DJing and technology.

School Projects

Ada met with her friend Adele after school one day to work on a project for school. She is learning about underwater volcanoes and tectonic plates.
They put together a model of a volcano, no help from any adults. Next week they will test out their experiment.
Navi similarly met with his friend last week to work on his project, tsunamis and tectonic plates.

Soccer Season

Soccer season has begun. Ada and Navi both had morning games in complete opposite ends of the city. It rained a little (turf field), but in the end the sun shined bright.
PapaJason volunteered as a driver to take Ada and Navi's class to the Marin Headlands. As he works in Marin he did a drop off, went to work, and returned to bring them back to SF.

Family Thursday Dinner

This Thursday everyone's schedule worked out so well that the Lopezjoneses went out to dinner. Navi's soccer practice was canceled, Ada skipped her practice for her last class of coding and it was Gianluca's day of no dance practice. Everyone had the later afternoon free!
They all went out for Ethiopian food. The twins love it because you get to eat with your hands and Gianluca has never eaten food from that part of the world.
The food was delicious. The only thing left was a little bit of cheese.
Later they all went out for ice cream. Which no one minded on a cold walk home.
