Ada's Fashion Show

It's all about Ada in this post. She now has fun wearing clips in her hair and was posing and modeling for the camera.

The daddies forget how big her eyes are until you pull back her hair and there they are.
Navi didn't want to join in on the fun in dressing up, but he did eventually position himself in front of the camera to take a little bit of the spotlight away from Ada.

Carpooling With Papa

Yesterday, the twins had a date with Nonna and the pool. So the Lopezjones' took one car to Corte Madera, but papa Jason had to go to the mechanic first. So there was an hour to entertain the twins at an industrial/commercial park.
Luckily there was a canal, the twins threw rocks and had fun running around in an empty parking lot. At the pool, Navi had so much fun hanging out in the kiddie pool, 1.5 feet deep, and Ada had tons of fun with Nonna 'monkey walking' around the pool and climbing in and out.

Another Salinas Weekend

Benji and his family were in Salinas for the weekend so the Lopezjones' decided to join them.Their prima Isabella was in town visiting from Arkansas so she came to say hello. The next day's outing was to the National Steinbeck Centre in Old Town Salinas.

The kids enjoyed the permanent exhibit as it was all hands on and lots to look at.

Leaving the museum we ran into a horse parade, the Salinas Rodeo was this weekend. Ada, Navi and Benji loved watching the horses dance. Ada loved the women riders dressed up in indigenous Mexican gowns and called them, "Princesas" (princess'), her new interest.

The twins have been spending a bit of time in the garden, mainly because the daddies need to water the out of control squashes and beans growing.

Friday Outing

The San Francisco Zoo

The twins impressed other parents at the playground, Ada and Navi were able to climb up these bars no problem. Later an older boy, about 10yrs old, was doing some fancy moves on the bars and of course Navi attempted to do the same.

While at the zoo the kids lead the way and sometimes they get a bit distracted by a non-exhibit, but they make the best of it.

A Day In Fairytales

The twins headed to Oakland's Fairyland yesterday to enjoy the day.
Their friend Noah joined them on all the fun and had a lot of fun exploring together and separately, but they mostly stuck around close to each other.
In the beginning Navi kind of led the way and Ada followed. His favorite sight was the small train, he got to ride it twice.
Ada was super, she was diaper free all day and had no accidents, daddy Quique was very proud of her.

Another Attempt At Camping

Still plenty of snow in the Sierras. The camp at Huntley Mill was still under snow so everyone stayed at the cabin. But they still managed to have some fun. Ada and Navi loved Grandpa's new toy, especially going over the mounds of snow.

On the other side of the Lake there was plenty of snow free space to run and play.

During a hike the twins stopped to look at some petroglyphs.

There was even a chance to look at a water snake up close.

On the last day there was a canoe ride with papa Jason ZiaAlisa and Elio, the twins enjoyed it, especially since they helped row.

Trains Planes And Automobiles

Navi's interest in trains is still strong. He loves taking rides in the neighborhood because chances are he'll get to see the MUNI metro passing by, "Tren" (train) he'll shout. Ada's interest in trains is only because Navi shows interest.

There's Something Different

Notice anything odd? Well one can't really tell when she's in clothes, but she is not wearing a diaper and she's on her way out on a SHORT outing. Ada has been potty training for the past two days (she's been nude the whole time). She's been great with number 1 and finally had a breakthrough with number 2 on the third day. There's still more work to do. Oh and also, she has favored girl's underwear 100%, Tinkerbell as apposed to Sesame Street briefs.

Her chart is filling up quick, but the biggest joy is the filled square on the right, the poop square.

Yummy Snack

"Smile," they say, as they eat raw onions. Personal pizzas were on the menu for dinner and the twins were sneaking some of the ingredients.

Salinas Overnight

The twins have not seen their Abuelito or Abuelita in a while so off they went. Navi probably learned this from watching his cousin Benjamin, but he's able to climb a good distance up the fig tree, for a two year old. Sadly Ada watched from the ground, but she was just fine down there with a cup full of blackberries.Ada's first wedges. She found Abuelita's shoes in the bathroom and claimed them as hers.She did pretty good walking around, well it was more like stomping around.

There were however two falls.

Happy Independence Day

The idea for the weekend was to camp at Huntley Mill, but there was so much snow one was not able to make it out there. So off to Squaw, sunny weather and the ski slopes were open.

The twins, Elio and Noah had fun at the river. The water was not as cold as one would think with all the snow melting. Noah and his family made it up from the bay area and had such fun with Ada and Navi. One night after dinner all kids, over the age of two, had ice cream. Elio was in bed by this time. There was a failed attempt at lawn bowling, but they had fun with the pins and running around on the grass.

One morning Nonna took the twins, and Sophie, on a walk to get the newspaper. Ada demanded to walk Sophie and she did pretty good.

A Sunny Outing

Off to the beach early in the morning. Navi had such fun climbing on the rocks, check out the crow flying away.There were many crows at the beach, Navi found them fascinating.Ada had fun too, but she had trouble keeping up with Navi on the rocks.
