Colorado - Part Two

 Happy Birthday David.  This long weekend celebration brought everyone together.

 Certainly all the little cousins were happy to see each other, but also the adults were happy to see the younger generation spend time together.

 David did share his cake with ZiaNonna, her birthday is coming up soon and with everyone together like this it was the perfect time to celebrate her as well.

 By the last day of the celebrations the get together was down to the last few.

 And the very very last few later in the day. One last lunch, Ada and Navi had big hugs to give and thanks to the Rebhan boys for keeping them on their toes - or the other way around.

There was time for a family photo!

Colorado Weekend - Part One

 The Lopezjoneses & Gian Marco headed to Colorado over the labor day weekend.

 And someone was very happy to see them and host the twins.

 The twins were very happy to be there and all three of their Colorado cousins were there to keep them busy. Jaxton also made it for the weekend.

 Eventually Elio and Ave made it as well. And the fun began...

 It was a warm day in Niwot and Davis did what any big cousin would do, set up the water toys, but first hose down the younger ones.

All the kids were happy to be running around together.

It was going to be a fun weekend.

Saturday With ZiaNonna

 On Saturday morning ZiaNonna made it to catch Navi's final soccer match.

 It was fantastic final game, Navi scored two goals.

 After his game Navi's good friend Arjuna joined the Lopezjoneses and ZiaNonna for a Chinese dumpling lunch. Grandpa and Nonna joined them as well and were introduced to a different form of Chinese food than most people are used to.

 Saying goodbye to Nonna and Grandpa the three kids, two dads and ZiaNonna found a cute park out in the avenues and spent where they spent a few hours to pass the time. Ada's final soccer match was later that afternoon.

Ada's soccer match was a fun one. Unlike last week's match where she refused to play, she made up for it in this match with her speed on the field.

Memorial Service

 On Friday afternoon the twins headed to the town of Ross for a memorial service for a friend and neighbor of Nonna. It was held at some very pretty gardens.

 ZiaNonna was there and she was very happy to see Ada and Navi.

After the service the Lopezjoneses went out to dinner. The restaurant provided paper and markers for the twins to keep busy.  Here's the awesome drawing Ada produced. She says about her drawing, "That's Papa and you (DaddyQuique) fighting over the IPA."

Weekend Bike Ride

The Lopezjoneses headed south of San Francisco for a bike ride. It had a few hills and the twins put their 7-Speed bikes to the test.

 It was a beautiful day and for the most part both Ada and Navi did an excellent job with their bikes, even going up hills.

 Ada spotted a coin operated telephone- that actually worked!

Afterwards, the Lopezjoneses found a 300-seater dim sum restaurant in Millbrae. Everyone's favorite dish was the Fung Zau (chicken feet).

Salinas Overnight Birthday Mother's Day Celebrations

 After Navi's Saturday Rainy Afternoon soccer game the Lopezjoneses headed to Salinas.

 Benji was there to celebrate their great-grandmother Pete's birthday. Plenty of family, food and children running around.

 The next day, they spend mother's day morning with Abue and Abuelito picking mulberries. It was the only fruit ready, Navi wishes to go in a few weeks for the blackberries, plums and pears.

 Marky was very happy to spend his time playing with his cousins. Marky is growing tall and is more vocal every visit.

Most of the time at Abue and Abuelito's is spent in the back garden.

Out To Dinner

Ada and Navi's weekends now start with Friday afternoon swim practice. But first, homework at the Jewish Community Center where they participate in pre-swim team.

 PapaJason was having dinner in Corte Madera with Nonna and Grandpa this evening. After swim team the twins don't get home until 5:30 so DaddyQuique asked them for ideas on dinner.  They said they wanted to go out to, "that place in the Castro for pasta," they meant Poesia, the first restaurant they ever went to.  It's impossible for them to remember this as they were only a few days old and slept through the whole thing cozy in their slings.

 Lucky for them there many choices of pasta and they each found one they liked. Navi had the black squid ink pasta. They both were very well behaved and finished their meals really well.

And somehow still had room for dessert. Typical!

Early Dismissal Day

 On Wednesdays the twins are let out of school an hour early. They decided to go to the Academy of Sciences.

 Navi wanted to see the exhibits, but Ada wanted to run around and play. So Navi chose to see two exchibits...

And then they got to play at a playground. They had a lot of good energy to keep them going.

Fun Weekend

 On Saturday the twins started with Ada's soccer game at 9am.  After her game they headed to the beach.  Navi's game was at 1pm.

 The daddies packed a lunch and spent 2.5 hours in the sun.  Ada and Navi had fun digging in the sand.

 And then finally made it in the water. They said it was cold, but did not mind it.

 After all soccer games were done Navi headed home with his friend Matteo for a playdate and Ada hosted a playdate with her friend Giulia.

 The next day the Lopezjoneses went on a bike ride in Marin County. It was a beautiful hot day.

Afterwards, ZiaNonna made a wonderful lunch for everyone.
