Happy Hallow's Eve

 Halloween arrived in San Francisco with a very light drizzle outside. Nonna, Grandpa and Linda joined the Lopezjoneses for dinner and dessert at their house before trick-or-treating.

 The twins were ready to trick-or-treat in the neighborhood and it looked like a few houses were handing out treats.

 First stop was across the street. Most houses insisted that Ada and Navi take several pieces of candy. The Lopezjones home had 3 trick-or-treaters this year, 2 more than last year.

 On the 20th street block the twins received treats from 7 houses...

And that was more than enough candy for these two!

Rainy Weekend?

 The forecast for the weekend was rain. But luckily there was not a lot of it like last weekend. Both Ada and Navi's calcio games were on.

 Ada's team almost won their first game, with 30 seconds to go the opposing team scored and the girls tied the game.

 The next day, the after a rainy supermarket run to buy pumpkins, it was carving time.

 This year was wonderful for the dads. Both kids needed very little help with cleaning and carving their jack-o-lanterns.

 They both came up with their own designs and carved them all on their own.

La Scuola Atumn Festival

 La Scuola celebrated their Halloween festivities on Friday, things fit better into their schedules that day. Ada and Navi chose their costumes, both in black, but two very different mammals.

 Navi chose the only flying mammal in the world a bat, or at school un pipistrello.

 Ada went with a black cat. She got the idea from her own cat at home, Lucy.

 At school they had a freeze dance...

And other activities including paper flower making in honor of Dia De Los Muertos.

Parent Teacher Conferences

 Ada lost a front tooth last week!

 The daddies attended parent teacher conferences this week. For the most part both kids are doing fantastic. Ada needs to work on her short term memory when learning and Navi needs to work on expressing his emotions in a constructive way. But best of all Ada's Italian is coming along great, so the whole family went to the supermarket to pick up a few things for dinner.

 As some may recall, PapaJason and Ada made a deal about a year ago that if/when she speaks Italian to all Italian speakers at school for a day then she could have banana splits for dinner.

 It finally happened so for dinner they each made their own banana splits.

 Navi of course benefited from this arrangement, but it took some waiting.

Congratulazioni Ada! She earned it!

Weekend Activities

 Over the weekend Ada had a play date with her classmate Maria Sofia. The kids in their class have been fascinated by rocks, minerals and gemstones so they went on a little outing to a store on Valencia Street.

 With money that Ada found on the street, on the way to school one day, they bought two geods to break open and reveal what's inside.

 They had a bit of trouble getting them open, but DaddyQuique helped them out.

 And they were excited to find crystals inside. Maria Sofia and Ada hope one day to open up a stand and sell their collections.

 Later that day DaddyQuique took Navi to his soccer game where he scored 3 awesome goals to help his team with the game 6-0.

There were treats and Navi was so kind in thinking of his sister, who was at another part of the city starting her game, that he grabbed an 'spooky' extra treat to take home for her. Ada's game was a forfeit by the other team so she and her teammates had a scrimmage.

Weekend Guests & A Birthday

 The weekend in San Francisco started with rain and ended with rain. The Lopezjoneses stayed indoors the whole time. But that did not mean visitors stayed away. Nonna, Grandpa and Sofie came one day for dinner.

 The next day the Lopezes came and Navi was ready for Abue with a pile of 'babies' that needed sowing and mending.

 The twins were so excited that their cousins made it over. Marky was super excited to play with Navi, Ada and Benji.

 TiaAna, TiaNana, Abuelito and Alexis were all there. It made for a pretty crowded lunch.

 After a game of Mexican Loteria and the kids running screaming at the top of their lungs it was video game time to calm things down a little.

 There was someone in the bunch turning 18 next week! So a mini celebration was had to honor Alexis becoming an adult (lawfully speaking). Happy Birthday Alex!

Everyone had a great time. Abue was very happy to see all her grand kids together she requested a picture. It took many many takes, but one good one came out.

Decorations And Dinner

 After many days of busyness the twins finally some some time to start on some Halloween decorations.

 Ghosts! All week they were excited to begin decorating the tree outside and they finally got the chance.

 Afterwards they all went to dinner. DaddyQuique had made a reservation for Gian's birthday a week after by mistake and decided to keep the reservation. Dinner was walking distance, across the street from the park at Delfina.

 Dinner was delicious.

Walking back home was special. The twins aren't usually out when the lights are on around the city. They practically ran all the way home where they were quite tired and ready for bed and their nightly reading of Harry Potter.

New Karate Class

Navi and his friend Matteo have started the next level in Karate class, and also at a later time. It's a little more intensive, but they seem to be doing well. Ada has decided to take a 'permanent' break from Karate. When she first took the class her dads asked her to try it out for three months, she did over a year! Great job Ada.

Tanti Auguri Gian!

 Gian Marco's birthday fell in the middle of the week and the Lopezjoneses managed to get a reservation at Flour + Water for some of the best pasta in the city.

 Afterwards they went home for desserts. DaddyQuique made a Double-Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie w/ Nutella for Gian (peanut butter, chocolate and nutella - his new favorite sweets combination) to celebrate.

Happy Birthday Marky!

 The Lopezjoneses headed to Salinas for an overnight and to celebrate their primo Marky's birthday party.

 A lot of their other primos joined in the festivities and all the cousins played well together.

  It was a fun party and the kids could not wait for the piñata. All the kids took a swing, just for fun, the piñata was actually one that you pull a string an the candies call out. Navi did however make a hole when he stabbed it with the plastic bat.

In the end, Marky was excited to have his cousins there to celebrate his birthday. The cake was chocolate overload, but delicious.
