Daddy and Daughter Day

Papa Jason and Navi went off to Corte Madera early in the morning so Navi can spend the day with his N
nonna.  It was such a gloomy morning so daddy Quique and Ada went shopping.  The main stop downtown was the Sanrio (Hello Kitty) store where Ada may have been a little overwhelmed. She also did her first Bloomy's buy (a 75% off box of Belgian chocolates left over form the Christmas season).
After a hard day of shopping it was off to a gourmet pizzeria where she started with fried sardine heads followed by a prosciutto and arugula pizza. Ada really enjoyed her day and only asked about Navi twice!

Monkeying Around

Navi and Ada enjoy swinging on the monkey bars...
Then out of no where Navi starts doing this. Ada's not quite there yet.

A Beautiful Day For A Party

On a Saturday the twins had a very intimate get together to celebrate their third birthday.  Benji made his appearance with his sister, Abuelos and TiaNanna.
Noah also stopped by to help celebrate and eat hot dogs and lots of fruit.
Elio spent the day celebrating as well.  Ada and Navi could not wait for the cupcakes.
There were a few gifts for each to open and had such fun showing and playing with their new toys with everyone at the party.

Il Cugino

Elio was is town for the weekend and he got to hang out with his TioQuique, so off to the twins' hang outs they went. First stop, the Academy of Sciences.
Elio is still a bit young to fully enjoy the museum, but he did a quick run through of most of the exhibits.
To the kid's cove they went and again another quick run through.
So off to the Eureka Valley playground they went.  It was super crowded, but Elio had another thing in mind. He wanted to see The City.  We walked around the Castro district and everything fascinated him; shop windows, traffic, people walking, buses, road construction, he had a lot of fun observing the busy city.
After Elio's adventure it was time to pick up his cousins.  Unfortunately Elio fell asleep on the way there, but he has happy to wake up and walk to Ada and Navi's school, it was such a beautiful day.

Elio had such fun walking with his cousins, he loved holding their hands. Navi and Ada were more than happy help out.

Hands On

Every morning daddy Quique asks the twins what they will do at school, "pasta y cereal," they interrupt before the question has finished.  There's cereal available everyday, but not pasta. Anytime you ask them anything about school you will get the same answer, "pasta y cereal."
When daddy Quique picked up Ada and Navi in the afternoon they were no where to be found on the playground. They were in the art room playing with clay.  The teacher said they really get into it, stomping on it, slapping it, really getting their hands in the clay. She had fun just watching them.

Fort Building

When these two play fort they build forts that are not very fortified. They never last long standing up and always end up all over the living room.  In this case the wall fort made a very comfy place to sleep for Ada.  And Ada made a comfy place to Navi to sleep.

Rainy Day Activity

Papa Jason wanted to take the twins to Ocean Beach today and check out the huge waves as a storm approached.
There was sand castle building.
And sand drawing.  The twins had so much fun and really enjoyed it towards the end of the outing when it began to rain.

"I Want To Go Downtown"

Instead of watching Saturday morning cartoons the twins headed on the train downtown to the San Francisco shopping center.  First stop the bathroom for Ada.  Little did daddy Quique know that there was a family room at the mall for kids to hang out and play a little.  But with a big flat screen TV playing Sponge Bob there was any playing at all.
Moving on they rode the escalators all the way to the top floor, had a snack under the Emporium dome, and rode the escalators back down.
At home it was project time.  The twins painted a small picture frame they had received in a goody bag from the art studio birthday party they attended.  Great way to make of a rainy Saturday.

Winter Clean Up

It was Navi's first professional haircut today and he did fantastic on the chair, not a flinch.  It helped that Thomas the Tank Engine was playing on the TV in front of him.
Daddy Quique promised the twins a special treat once they got home if they did not cry during their hair cuts.
So at home they both were rewarded with a little parfait.

They're Back

Abuelita had so much fun with the twins over the weekend.  She bought them new pajamas, took them shopping for a new outfit and spent an afternoon at Chuck-E-Cheeses. TiaNana was there the whole time and  said the twins drove her crazy.  Before heading back home Abuelita and TiNana spent the afternoon at the zoo with the twins and sadly said good bye as they went down for their nap.

Salinas Weekend

The twins spent the weekend with their abuelitos and Benji too.  They helped Abuelito rake up the leaves in the yard.
Instead of jumping on a pile of leaves they all decided to jump on Abuelito.
When a few family members gather in one spot the call goes out for others to join.  So in impromptu BB-Q was in order.  Julian and Xavier came over and this is what happens when you have a group of boys and let them run loose.  Really Navi - this is fun?

Sunny Days

First stop was Twin Peaks. The twins got an early start to their day and needed to waste a little time before reaching their final destination.
Then a quick stop at the beach to watch machines dig up some sand.
Finally destination: the zoo.  Ada insisted on eating her pain au chocolat, from Tartine bakery, in front of the penguins watching them being fed.

Bath Time

Navi and Ada sported bubble beards during one of their baths. This is the one time they did not mind soap in their eyes.

Good Little Kids Never Last

At the start of the week the Lopezjones' hosted their local neighborhood watch meeting. The twins were so well behaved throughout the entire meeting until it adjourned and all heck broke lose.
They ran a muck. And seemed to be showing off their wrestling skills to everyone.
"John, John!" the twins yelled to our neighbor. It was a shame they got so riled up when really it was bed time.

Artist At Work

The twins were invited to celebrate classmate Bea's birthday party at an art studio.
They were very excited and comfortable because most attending were classmates.
It was a paint splatter party! Everyone got warmed up by paiting on their own. The instructions were to use your paint brush, but Ada and Navi had their own way of painting - with their hands.
Slowly the painting veered off the canvas and on to each other. They were not the messiest, but they sure had a lot of fun.
In the end all the children help paint one large canvas for birthday girl to keep.  Happy Birthday Bea.

Aquatic Park

In route to the Hyde Street Pier, daddy Quique wanted to take a picture of the twins with such a beautiful background provided by such a great day.  Ada flat out refused to take a picture so papa Jason took one of just Navi and his daddy.
At the pier, which is a national park, you could board several different boats/ships and explore them at your leisure. One had to keep a very close eye on little ones, the deck was not very 'childproof,' but what would you expect from a very old ship.
You were even able to go inside one of the larger boats.  It was very roomy to fun to explore and there were plenty of things to keep a young kid occupied.
Here was a sneak attack picture of Ada.  She may have not noticed her picture taken. Fun day for the whole family.

Trial & Error

With so many beautiful scenes in San Francisco daddy Quique is on a mission to have the twins pose for pictures.  As much as Ada rebuked this new idea she complied once daddy asked in a very stern, but nice way (maybe not so nice).
Daddy Quique tried his best to explain to Ada and Navi that it is not a good idea to go swimming in the middle of winter. But what a great spot it is for them to play in the water once it gets warmer.
On the second pose of the morning Ada did a little better in cooperating for this picture.  This is at the Palace of Fine Arts, on the way to the Exploratorium.
It was a fun place and there was plenty to see and LOTS to do...
...but with one daddy and two kids running in opposite directions, mainly Navi, the visit to the Exploratorium was not much fun for Ada or daddy Quique who chased Navi around the entire time.

Lost File of 2011

Ada and Navi had taken Benji and Alex(is) to the zoo last month.
They found the little kid's corner inside the barn and worked on some puzzles.
Ada was not too afraid of the pecora this time around and gladly gave them a snack.
Ada and Navi had fun showing family around the zoo.
And showing TiaAna how to play on the spider's web.
