Pumpkin Carving

 The night before Halloween the Lopezjones' carved their pumpkins.

 On both ends, Navi and Ada carved the pumpkins grown in the garden.

 Kaana had two pumpkins to display, one from today and another from a party she attended. (In order: DaddyQuique & Navi, Kaana, PapaJason, Ada and Kaana again.

Busy Sunday

 This day started very early for Kaana, she had to be at Oakland's Lake Merrit at 6:00am!  Later the twins showed up to watch Kaana compete with her Dragon Boat team from school.

 She won this heat.

 Afterwards it was off to Marin where they rode their bikes and showed off their new skills to Nonna. Later that evening it was another birthday celebration, GrandmaAnni's.

This day was a bit TOO much for all three kids.

Birthday Party Bash

 On Saturday the twins joined their classmate Nora at Pump-It-Up to celebrate her birthday.

 They have been here before, but were much too young to remember.

 They had so much fun...

 Especially wince almost all their good friends from school were there.

They both liked the party, "a lot." Their party favor was a canvas that they painted right away at home.

Nonna

 On Friday Nonna and Grandpa came over for dinner.  Nonna brought a special gift for the twins.

Afterwards, Ada had a special game for Nonna; dress and dancing.

Gymnastics

That's Navi for you.

Diving

The twins have been advancing well in their swim class. They have been working on diving into the pool, Ada has excelled.

Madera Weekend

The Lopezjones' headed to Madera.  The temperature was high, but the pool was freezing.  That did not stop Kaana, PapaJason and Kaana from getting fully submerged in the water.

It was a birthday party that brought them to Madera.  Ada loved the meat in the posole.

Benji was happy to have many cousins at his house to play with.

Even baby Mark was excited to get in on the fun.

Abue and P'ete made an appearance too.

All to celebrate Alexis' birthday.  Happy Birthday.

There was even a bon fire in the backyard.

The next day before heading home everyone went to see Alexis play soccer at one of her matches. Her team was ahead 2-0.

The Playdate

 On Friday the twins brought a classmate home to play.  Karam spent a couple hours with the twins playing and exploring all the toys.

There was even outdoor time to see what vegetables were left so late in the season; lemons, chili peppers, tomatillos and tomatoes. Ada and Navi had a lot of fun with Karam and hope he come to their house again.

A Second Harvest

PapaJason and the twins took some time in an afternoon to collect and peal the tomatillos.  This was something DaddyQuique did as a child, not by choice, every year so he's happy to see his kids willing to help.

Playing Tourist

 On Monday the twins nor Kaana had school, Colombus/Native American's Day. DaddyQuique took the kids up to twin peaks to see the vista, it was a beautiful clear day.

 Then they drove down Lombard Street or the "wiggly" street as the twins call it.

The final stop was Coit Tower. It was built in honor of the firemen who rescued a woman in the 1906 fires after the earthquake.  Every time Navi sees the tower from a distance he asks, "there's an earthquake up there?" Going there he now understands the connection to the earthquake.

Beautiful Sunny Sunday

 Early Sunday morning Uncle Brad's niece came over for a quick visit. The twins took out all their toys to show Ana Rose.  But they were most excited about Ana Rose's dad who was up for a game of keep-away with his hat.

 Later that morning it was off to the park for a little bike ride.  Kaana and Ada went off on their own.

 PapaJason worked with Navi on his bike and pretty soon he was running to keep up with him.

Fun Weekend

 Uncle Brad flew in for the weekend to run with PapaJason and Kaana in the Honeybadger race in Marin.

 DaddyQuique brought a picnic for the twins.

 And settled right next to the horseshoe pit where the twins were able to play during the race.

 All three runners did a great job.

 Later that afternoon another guest from out of town came to visit.

'Uncle' Jan was thrilled to see how big the twins have gotten and the twins were excited to see her.

Sunny Days

 After school one day the twins wanted to go to the park.  The sun was shining and the park was crowded, except the crowd in the background were all extras in a HBO show being filmed at the park.

Navi had to slide all to himself that afternoon, even DaddyQuique joined in the fun.

National Walk To School Day

Like most children in San Francisco the distance from home to school for the twins is a little too long to walk.  So for national walk to school day the twins met up with a few school mates a couple blocks from school to walk there.

Navi and Ada didn't quite understand the idea, being that this walk was typical sometimes when parking is tough.  But they had fun seeing everyone and were very excited. At school they were presented with a map of San Francisco, a pencil and a sticker.

Siblings

This was quite a site! They were watching their favorite show, DaddyQuique was in the kitchen cooking and thought it was a little too quiet in the living room.

This was a first.

No Training Wheels

Over the weekend PapaJason was determined to teach someone how to ride their bike, with no training wheels. Ada showed the most interest and gave the best effort.

Ada learned quickly. Lucky for her, the Lopezjones' visited ZiaNonna in Sacramento where the topography is flat and was able to really ride her bike.

She got pretty good pretty quick.
