Fishes Everywhere

Ada and Navi got to go to the Academy of Sciences today and got there two minutes before they opened the doors. With no crowds, daddy Quique let the twins walk through the whole academy holding his hand, no strollers or carriers.
At the aquariums, Navi and Ada were the only ones there which was great for the twins because daddy Quique allowed them a bit more freedom to run around.

And run around they did.

Father's Day

It was such a nice day on Sunday and with the twins down to one nap a day, the daddies had plenty of time in the morning to keep them busy, so off to the park they went.
The play structure is no longer a worry for the daddies. They do pretty well going down the slides and knowing not to step off an edge.
For over an hour daddy Quique tried to take a picture of both kids together, but they both kept their feet busy running around. Once one settled down to pose the other would be running off.

That evening there were lots of guest over for dinner. Ada and Navi had to be patient, dinner was a little late, to be able to finally eat their dinner with everyone.

Garlic Capital of The World

The Lopezjones' headed off to Gilroy to celebrate two graduation, one from high school and another from UC Davis. The party was in the garden, even with a bouncy house set up the twins ran to the dog pen first, to investigate and play. They eventually got comfortable with the bouncy house and were having such fun with the many kids there. Navi of course followed Benji everywhere and did everything he did.Ada had fun running back and forth with in the bouncy house. This time there were other girls for her to play with so she did not feel left out when Navi and Benji did their own thing. Check out Navi's belly! The twins ate so much, tacos and more tacos, yum! They even got ice cream for the first time, thanks to their Tia Vicky. (Tia Anahi is pictured above.)

Ada - Up Close & Personal

The twins are now taking only one nap a day. Which means that outings can start really early in the morning and we can be out all the way into the afternoon. One problem that can arise is making it back home in time without them sleeping in the car.

Past Pictures

Here are some pictures of the twins' outings from last week that did not make onto the blog. Can you believe the fountain above is in a public park? By far, these swings have the best view in any of the playground we've been to.

And They Are Back

With the twins staying in Salinas, the daddies snuck off to Pacific Grove. They went scuba diving in Monterey and hiking in Point Lobos, near Carmel.
Since they are legally obligated to care for them, the daddies did go back to pick up Ada and Navi. Just kidding, they did miss them. Abuelito did try to show Navi how to cook a good fish. Both of them loved it and ate plenty of it.

As always there were plenty cousins around to entertain the twins.

A Weekend With Abuelita

The twins are spending the weekend in Salinas. But first a visit to Great Grandma's house to wait for abuelita to get home from work. Fun Surprise, their cousin Isabela and her soon to appear brother or sister, who is still in mom's belly, were visiting from Arkansas and Tia Oliva (sister of Pa'Lorenzo) was visiting form Mexico. And other cousins showed up as well. The twins ran around the fruit trees and on the spongiest grass ever - barefoot, without any grief from family members. Daddy Quique had to keep an eye on the twins because they were more than happy to eat not so fresh cherries from the ground. Paloma enjoyed Ada and Navi's smallness. Ears were reachable to her for licking. Navi eventually learned that if he held out his palms to Paloma they would be cleaned. Ada thought Paloma was much too friendly.

Bedtime...

But not before a little mischief.

Playing With Boxes

The twins got new (temporary) toys to play with today. Best part is they were free.

Suprise Guest

With daddy Jason in Phoenix for three days, daddy Quique is on his own with the twins. Luckily ZiaNonna showed up for an over night (to renew her passport, in one day to catch her flight the next day) and go to see the twins at swim class. Thanks to Annie for swimming with Ada.

Wine Country

On Sunday the Lopezjones' headed to Sonoma for some BB-Q at a winery with friends. But before the wine, we took a detour into Traintown.
A 20 minute train ride through America's biggest scale railroad and town. Navi was not sure if he liked the ride, but at the end he seemed to have enjoyed it.
There was a stop in the middle of a miniature town where the twins had a chance to feed the animals. They were not frightened at all. There was a carousel the twins got to ride, although no one cracked a smile while going round and round the daddies had fun.Taking a break, the twins got to play downtown.
Finally, at the winery, Ada and Navi enjoyed their own rib al'fresco.

Family Hike

The daddies decided to start preparing the twins for Huntley Mill by taking them on a hike in Golden Gate Park.
The twins were to walk on their own, no carriers or strollers were taken.Ada and Navi were fantastic walkers. The family hike was about an hour and the kids loved it. There was a break for lunch near the end of the hike. On the way back, with just a few yards away from the car Navi went kaput. He would not walk any further so he sat on the ground and begged to be carried. Overall, great hike both daddies thought.

A Really Hot Day In Salinas

The twins went down to Salinas one day to hang out with Abuelita. It was really hot outside, but there were plenty of fruit trees providing shade.
Ada enjoyed the blackberry and raspberry picking, but really enjoyed eating them.

Tia Luhanna and their primo Benji were there for the day. It was amazing to see the 'male' bonding between Navi and Benji, they were unstoppable. Ada was more into doing her own things.

New Skill

"Naris, Oreja, Lengua, Cabeza, Manos, y Pies." Mention these body parts and Ada will point to them. (Nose, Ear, Tongue, Head, Hands, and Feets)

Extra Long Fun Weekend

Keeping busy, there were visits from friends, a playdate, a dinner party, a roof top BB-Q, and a long walk (the twins did great) through the Mission for great food. Sadly no pictures were taken of our weekend adventures.

So... here is Ada modeling her new raincoat, thanks Nonna. PS. Ada and Navi apologize to Brad and Hensley for getting them sick, feel better, it was their gift to you both.
