In The Garden

 Today the twins headed down to Dolores Park to spend the morning. After 25 minutes (!) the twins were ready to go home. DaddyQuique kept them down there for another hour and a half.

 Afterwards they headed back home where to spend time in the garden. They searched for gooseberries...

 And picked a few tomatoes.

 They enjoyed picking an eating the vegetables.

After learning what they can pick and eat they decided to play restaurant. They took turns serving each other vegetables picked form the garden. The edibles available on their menu; asparagus, gooseberries, lettuces, peas (not quite ready, but edible), rosemary, edible flours, squash, tomatoes, and various herbs.

Free Week

This week the twins are having a great time in San Francisco. With no camps and just swim team and music the rest of their free time is pretty much up to them.

They went to playgrounds they have not been to in some time. Had a picnic in the park, rolled down a hill, did a few cartwheels and best of all played together- without issues- for almost an hour in a group of trees. On their own using their imagination.

They also went downtown a few times. Once to see a movie and another time shopping in Chinatown.

Not all was pure fun. There were some needed outings such as haircuts. Overall their summer has been great. Camps, parties, outings, movies, friend sleepovers and more.

Happy Pride San Francisco!

 It was Pride weekend in San Francisco and Uncle Brad made it up to celebrate. So to start Piña Coladas for some and Coladas (non-alcoholic) for others.

 This year, sadly, the annual Pink Party in the Castro was cancelled so the Lopezjoneses decided to put on a Pink Party at their house.  But not before a lunch of tortas and tacos.

 The party started with some friends, but by the evening it was a crowded roof top.

 The next day the Lopezjoneses headed downtown to catch the Pride Parade.

 Linda, UncleBrad and UncleSarge joined them.  As well as Ada and Navi's friends Bea and Holton show spent the night at the Pink Party.

 Bea and Ada made out with some great swag.  Free flags, sunglasses, necklaces, chocolates, stickers, temp. tatoos, and plenty more.

Music Camp Concert/Show

 On their last day of music camp the campers put on a show for their parents. Ada played the violin in their rendition of the song Pompeii by Bastille.

And Navi played the piano in their rendition of Bad by Michael Jackson.

They both played fantastic and were excited to do so.  Ada did not feel shy at all and looked forward to it, which kind of took DaddyQuique by surprise.

Music Camp

 

This week the twins are attending Music Camp. Today however the campers went rock
 climbing.

DaddyQuique asked them to pose for a picture and when Navi leaned into Ada she did not approve. It was possibly one of those, "Not in front of my friends" sibling moment.

But Navi was happy to pose. This rock climbing space was insane! Check out one of the many walls and arches behind him.

Father's Day

 When PapaJason was done with his morning shower today he found Ada in the kitchen prepping breakfast. She was making him breakfast for father's day.

 With very little help she presented him an omelette and toast.

 Then Navi got to work on DaddyQuique's breakfast.

Scrambled eggs and orange juice.

And finally, here's Navi making himself a strawberry omelette and french toast.

Saturday Morning Hike

 DaddyQuique woke up one morning to a beautiful day and decided to take a walk through the city. It took some convincing, but he managed to convince Ada to go with him.  They walked to one of the 47 hills that dot San Francisco.

The views were wonderful. It was early in the day and the temperature was just perfect.

 There was a little bit of rock climbing.

 And then there was the walk down.

 Afterwards Ada got to hang out at two playgrounds. She even got to see a kid rock climb down the wall behind her.

This is how DaddyQuique convinced her to join him on the walk.

Tooth Fairy

The Tooth Fairy visited Navi for the 8th time last night and possibly the only visit for him for a great while. His tooth really loosened up last night as he ate an apple.

Zoo Camp!

Ada and Navi's summer has started. And they are starting it with SF Zoo Camp! This year they are in the Lemur group. This time around they will be keeping a journal of their doings during the week in camp. They both claim to have made friends, but are still to remember their names. To be continued...

Dinner Guests

Over the weekend Nonna, Grandpa & Sofia came over for dinner.  As well as a Jones family friend, Joy, who was visiting in the area. Sadly, DaddyQuique forgot to take pictures.

Birthday Party

 Ada and Navi attended a birthday party at House of Air. It's a trampoline fun house next door to where the twins attended swim school for almost 7 years.

 Most of their classmates were there.

Towards the end Ada-Mc-'We will not say it because she does not like the name' made an appearance. She was upset because DaddyQuique told her they would have to leave the party in 10 min. to attend swim team.  She did not want to leave and so for the last ten minutes, instead of enjoying the party, she sulked and even refused cake. Meanwhile Navi enjoyed a large piece of cake before he left.

Graduation 2016

 The twins had a small ceremony in recognition of the children moving up to the next grade.

 

 It was very exciting for all the kids and parents.

All the students sang the school song.

 And there was gelato afterwards.

 Congrats Ada and Navi.

 Their last day was a half day at school so DaddyQuique asked them what they wanted for lunch and they both said sushi.  Sadly both sushi restaurants near the school were closed so instead they opted for corn dogs.

Family Dinner: Dollar Oysters

 The Lopezjoneses went out to dinner Tuesday night for dollar oysters. One had to take advantage of the promotion if your children like oysters, especially Navi.

 Ada at first said she did not like them, but once she added cocktail sauce and a squeeze of lemon she was on board.

 The Lopezjoneses went through 2.5 dozen oysters! They had to stop there because those were just the appetizers to dinner. (Gian Marco was not able to make it to this dinner as he is back in Italy for the summer.)

It was a fun dinner.  Don't forget to vote!

School Picnic & Karate

 Saturday morning began in Golden Gate park for the twins' school's end of the year picnic.

 Afterwards it was off to karate class for their tests.  They both were up for new belts.

 Ada had to do some last minutes practice this morning, but in the end she pulled through.

La Scuola Spring Concert 2016

 With plenty of heads up... here's Navi in pants! "I can't walk in these," he insisted. But it was just for one night that he had to dress up, well at least this is dressing up to him. Ada of course loved her new dress.

 The twins performed at their school Spring Concert.  They sang songs along with their class.

 And played instruments.  Ada and Navi were both on glockenspiels.

 For the couple months the twins had been attending Coro (chrous) class at schol once a week in the morning. Here is a very short piece of their singing.

 A few friends made it to the concert.  Thank you Nonna and Linda.

It was a great concert.  Fantastic job Ada and Navi.  (pictured: Sachin and George two good friends of Ada and Navi. Sadly Sachin is moving to London in a couple of weeks - Navi will miss him.)
