New Playground (Yet Again)

 The twins headed out to the Bayview district of San Francisco to check out Hilltop Park.

 Renovated several months ago, it's quite a trek, but it was worth it.

The huge side on the hill was really cool and not cardboard needed.

There was even a water feature, which they have seen at other playgrounds, but after a few months are always turned off.

They also discovered San Francisco's largest sun dial. Once you know what you're looking for it turn out you can see it form the freeway.

Also there was SF's first skateboard park, newly renovated.

After a few hours at the playground they headed back home and straight to the garden where Ada and Navi picked carrots.

Then it was inside for a game of chess. What a day!

Farewell Lunch

 The twins, DaddyQuique and Gian Marco hopped on BART for a lunch in Oakland.

 A farewell lunch for family and Gan's closest friends at his friends Italian restaurant in Rockridge.

 Nonna, Grandpa and ZiaNonna were there and ZioRoger braved the traffic from Sacramento to be there.

 It was a fantastic loooong Italian lunch-beyond fantastic. Multiple antipasti and 10 pastas, family style. These handmade pastas were SO DELICIOUS! Enough to rival Flour + Water - and that's saying something. Belotti Ristorante e Bottega, highly recommended.

Happy Birthday USA!

 For the 4th of July ZiaNonna, Grandpa, Nonna and Sofie came over to the Lopezjoneses for dinner.

 A few sparklers were found and this was the time to use them, there were three!

This was the twins' first 4th of July at home, usually they are up at Huntley Mill. But with so much snow still up there they were not able to make it out there this year.

July 4th Outing and New Playground (Again)

 

 The twins and DaddyQuique headed out to The Mission Tuesday morning and a walk to check out a new playground. But first a snack, chocolate croissant from a very special bakery/cafe.

 And then some window shopping at the chocolatier shop next door, maybe next time a tasting. Zoom in the picture and check out the marshmallow.

 Finally the twins made it to a new Mission playground.

 They took out half a parking lot and placed this well needed community space.

 Then PapaJason joined in and they were off to their next adventure.

 Lunch, in the Castro.

 The rest of the city was empty due to the holiday, but the Castro was a buzz and crowded as usual.

 Then they were off to the Eureka Valley playground where the twins got a little nostalgic. They did not know this, but they've had their picture taken on this toy many time when they were younger.

 They then resorted to acting like babies.

New Playground

 The twins headed to Mountain Lake park to check out the newly renovated playground.

 Navi thought these woods beams were like the American Ninja Warrior course.

 This was his favorite part.

Ada was too busy exploring all the newness to decide her favorite. It was a great playground next to San Francisco's only surviving natural lake. The weather was a little cold, but not cold for these two.

Later on in the morning they twins ran into a classmate and their family and a mini-soccer game ensued.

College BB-Q

 Gian Marco hosted a farewell BB-Q and invited all his friends. Gian Marco will return to Italy for a month and then return to the US, but will head straight to Texas to begin his next chapter in life at the University of Houston Victoria and its soccer team. GO COUGARS!

 One of his friends, Gian Lucca, had super cool toy he brought out to play with. Navi was fascinated.

Gian Lucca's drone went out quite a bit. But it was a bit too windy to stay out long.

 He had the landing perfected. It was a super fun party that lasted all night long. Ada and Navi of course went to bed early...

Otherwise they would have met this little guy who made it to the party.

SPCA Camp

 This week the twins attended the SF SPCA camp. They were introduced to many unique pets including, lizards, pigeons, rats, and birds.

They also learned about being a responsible pet owner and being the best animal friend one can be.

SF Pride Festival 2017

 The Lopezjoneses and friends, slowly woke up after the pink party and made their way downtown for the Pride Parade.

 Navi found a good spot to check out the floats.

 Ada and Bea squeezed their way into the best position to receive some of the free swag.

 And swag they received. Linda their babysitter started them with a few pride mementos, but they left the parade with even more beads, necklaces, flags, candy, chapstick, temp. tattoos, face paint and much more.

Afterwards they all fled the downtown mayhem and found a quiet spot in the Castro for lunch. Then they headed home for adult nap time.

Pink Party 2.0

 On Saturday the Lopejzoneses hosted a pink party.

 Many friends and neighbors came to enjoy food, drinks and great company.

 Everyone was having a fantastic time.

 Ada's friend Bea also came for the fun with her family. And as the evening progressed... let's just say it was a fun party!

Full House!

Pride weekend begins and the Lopezjoneses are hosting a crowd. UncleHeather and UncleBrad flew in for the festivities and UncleDoug was just a car ride away. Alexis ended her week with the Lopezjoneses and heads back home for a summer job interview-good luck!

Zoo Camp 2017

All this week the twins attended SF Zoo camp. They got to see a lion up close, touch a hedgehog, see a bear hunt a fish in the water and so much more. Everyday they learned new games.

Father's Day Dinner

 For father's day the Lopezjoneses and Gian Marco headed across the Golden Gate bridge for a dinner with Nonna and Grandpa.

 The twins were able to read the menus and choose their dinner. Navi started with a salad.

Ada had some really delicious looking corn dogs.

Everyone had a wonderful evening. Happy Father's Day to all!
