Well UncleBrad was diving and the rest were snorkeling.
Once the sun set it was time to gear up.
And the lights turned on and it was magic.
Navi and DaddyQuique were the first ones in and as soon as they hit the water, attracted by the light (which attracted plankton that they ate), the manta rays were right under you swimming, eating, inches away from you on the surface if not bumping into to you. Navi was frightened and had to leave the water and watch the action form the boat.
Ada did make it through the experience. Holding on to a board with lights, and UncleBrad and other scuba divers below shining lights up above it attracted 20 manta rays that night.
Some of these things were huge!
The mantas would swim and loop near the surface over and over.
This is Big Bertha, she's about 13feet wide! No wonder Navi was frightened.
