Primo Giorno Di Scuola

 On Thursday the twins had their first day of kindergarten.  An 8 minute walk to a bust stop and a 10 minute bus ride later they arrived to their first day of school.

 Brand new classroom, many old friends and some new.

 A new play structure and a garden to be built soon everyone was very excited.

To add more to the excitement AuntyJan had an overnight and even took the twins out to dinner.

The End Of Summer

 Next week the twins' summer will come to an end. They have enjoyed their many play dates with friends...

 Individual outings...

 Many trips to their local libraries...

 Camping...

 Not this, which was a lot...

 Eating out and exploring new restaurants...

And museum visits.

They have had a great summer and can't wait to start kindergarten in their new school.

The Zeum

The twins went to the Children's Creativity Museum downtown today.

There were many rooms with activities for them to keep busy with.

One special one was the animation studio.  Here is a short claymation video DaddyQuique and the twins put together.  Adda's character is the middle one in the beginning of the clip, Navi's is on the right and DaddyQuique's on the left.  The hands that appear in the video are mostly Navi's, he did not do a good job of following directions.

The Dentist

 The twins went in for a routine check up this week with PapaJason.  Ada and Navi were very well behaved and all went A-Okay.

Unfortunately the office visit was the only good part of the day.  Ada was making it a tough day for PapaJason and Navi to have fun.  Their day in Marin was cut short to address Ada's behavioral issues. Both daddies can not wait for this phase to pass.

Family Visits

 Over the weekend the twins had company.  First TiaNana (Luhanna) and her family visited for the day.

 BabyMark was so happy to play with the twins.  He really like the playground in Dolores Park where he made his Dad run after him nonstop.

The next day Abuelio, Abue, Abue's cousin from Mexico, and P'ete came for an overnight. Ada and Navi had so much fun playing with Abuelito, he would pick them up and turn them upside down.

Zoo & Friends

 Last week the twins went to the zoo to meet with some friends.

 Bea and her family joined them for a day of fun.

 Navi had an especially great time because he got to ride the steam engine all  by himself.

Everyone had a lot of fun, although there were a few grumpy faves throughout the day.

A Summer Harvest

 This week the twins have been busy picking and cooking with vegetables grown in the garden.  The zucchini wave is over, but with a new variety of Norwegian clustering tomato and a cherry tomato plant that tastes like candy there is an abundance of the red treats to go around.  As a snack one day the twins made bruschetta using bread they made the day before, tomatoes and stridolo grown from the garden. Yum!

That evening there were beans that needed preparing for dinner, two kinds. Ada was happy to help out with the cooking. Hopefully they will not get sick of eating beans or tomatoes because there will be plenty of them in the coming weeks along with more zucchini and cucumbers.

School Camping Weekend

As a fundraiser the Lopezjones' hosted a camping weekend for the La Scuola community. Six families made it up for the adventure. (Picture by Mike)

Even Elio had to join in on all fun. But Ave was the one who was on cloud nine with so many young kids to follow and keep her busy. There was a challenge keeping track of a few girls' names; Ave, Ava, Ada and 'Livia.

She was also very happy that the director of the school, Vale, came and accompanied her holding her hand on a hike.

Everyone had way too much fun and super fantastic meals, there were a few great cooks at camp. One mom made popcorn with coconut oil.

 The twins were glad to share where they go in the summer with some of their friends.

Family Camping

 Last weekend the twins hosted a camping weekend for a few friends.

 Two of PapaJason's friends from high school and their families and DaddyQuique's friend and family from college.

 Everyone got to meet 3 month old Sam, Noah's baby sister, and she camped - tent and everything!

 It was a fun filled weekend with plenty of kids and games.

A Harvest

 Here are the twins enjoying the bounty of the garden.  A lot of great vegetables are growing for them to pick and eat. This is only a small part of what's growing out there.

Ada and Navi cannot wait to see how big the pumpkins grow this year. They have Halloween in their minds.

Beach Weather

On Tuesday, right before swim class, PapaJason took the twins to the beach.  They decided to swim in the bay, the beach was crowded, but Ada and Navi were to the only two in the water. They had so much fun, click on the picture to see their big smiles.

Multi-Activity Weekend

 The weekend began with a paddle boat ride on Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park.

 Ada and Navi had so much fun sharing a few of their almonds with the local ducks that followed the boat.

 Afterwards they went to the De Young museum to see some fine art pieces.  Upon leaving the museum they had fun following an art installation, that's almost always looked over, of a crack that zig-zags its way to the main door.

 The next day the Lopezjones' headed to San Mateo County to walk the new Devil's Slide Trail to see the wonderful California pacific coast.

 It's a portion of Highway 1 that is constantly washing away in bad winters, With two new tunnels built for cars away from Devil's Slide it's been turned into a pedestrian and bicycle trail in hopes that it will last a little longer that a highway.

That afternoon the Lopezjones' took a bikeride to Half Moon Bay, where they saw dolphins close to the shore as they had a picnic lunch.

With such a workout throughout the day Ada and Navi were treated to pie and ice cream. Then they walked over to a fisherman's boat where they bought a 10lbs. king salmon caught that day.

Fun Filled Week

 This whole week the twins have been busy with friends and traveling to see others.  Early in the week Matteo joined the twins on their visit to the museum.  Afterwards they went to a playground and then home for lunch and a movie.

 The next day they headed across the bay bridge to visit Noah and Samantha. They played for a while at their house while Sam was napping.

 

Then they went to a park to burn off some energy and to have lunch.

 The next day Matteo and his dad picked up the twins at home and took all three to the beach.  They were excited to do an outing without DaddyQuique. DaddyQuique picked them up in the afternoon at Matteo's house, they had so much fun and have been wanting to do a play date at his house for quite some time.

 Today Ada and Navi went to the Musée Mécanique and played video games for a couple hours. They even got to chew balls of bubble gum - Ada loved it and chewed all the way home!  Navi got a talking-to about swallowing gum.
